my pleasure gentlemen!  and to answer your question Mechanickal, I could not see any makers mark, I was also looking for one, but I have asked my watch repair guy to try to figure out what the movement is and who it was made by.  On first glance his only comment was that it was "definitely Swiss".  he also said that it looked like the same movement he had serviced once or twice before from a clock that was in a ring for your finger.  Ive never seen one of these but apparently they were also a rare trend once upon a time.

also, I am going to be launching a youtube channel in the new year to show some of my rarest Wenger, Victorinox and Rothlisberger knives.

I will post a video here when it starts

These last pages show exactly why I love Wenger so much, the brand itself has been gone for several years but still I see stuff popping up that I didn't even know it existed.

I miss their "let's just make it" mentality, at times it seems as if the designers there were just a bunch of SAK freaks like us, throwing ideas around the room about what could or should be in their next SAK, and then just go for it.

I guess the "playing it safe" strategy from Victorinox did work out in the end...

I often think of Victorinox and Wenger are like two sister, where the big sister is more conservative and 'playing it safe', the younger sister is more adventurous and probably lived a more colorful life. :D

the blade replacement is completed on the crossbow shield ALUMINUM Wenger, and we wanted to be certain that the replacement blade I found matched the original blade, even down to being carbon steel.  in this video Will Jones shows how he made sure, and we are going to keep the original blade with the knife, and they will stay together if and when I ever sell it.  Its a rare knife to be certain.  I have 3 examples of this knife with the earlier shield, and I am aware of other collectors with 8 other examples with the first shield...but this is the only one I have ever seen with the 2nd (crossbow) shield.  worth noting is that the aluminum scales are twice as thick on this generation as they were on the original shield examples

thank you, and one more recent acquisition, a WENGER & CIE from 1914 with engraved scales to commemorate the alliance between England, France, Russia and Belgium.  Featuring (from left to right on the front scale):  King George V of England, Prime Minister Raymon Poincare of France, Emperor Nicholas II of Russia (who was executed in his own country 1918 after his exile in England was revoked by George V in 1917)

On the back scale is King Albert of Belgium
