Wenger SpotLite

Quick and dirty pics... but maybe better than nothing.  I'll have better ones for the Wiki at some point.

Those Champs are nice! I've got two of them, one with a Turkish flag instead of the Swiss cross, and a later version with slightly different tools, and the standard Swiss cross.

Congratulations for your finds!
I do have both variations of the Spot Light, with scissor and without.
Do you need pictures of the model without scissors for the Wiki?

how is the construction and feel of the spotLite Wenger` quality?

In my opinion, only good for collection.
Apart from the fast that this model uses AAAA batteries (like the laser pointer) which are difficult to find, the light is very weak, only good to find a key hole.

....
A picture of the Spot Light without the scissors would be great on the wiki.

Did you happen to notice your pictures deployed on the special Left-Handed page?  I did end up in resizing and cleaning them for that page because the large ones took too long to load from the SAKwiki server, they have links to the larger full sized ones though.

Wenger Colonel or Oberst.  An old-time SAK with more traditional tools including the small-blade vs. the more common nail-file on later Wenger models.

Yes, I did notice, thanks!
The pictures are much better now.
Feel free to resize the original ones as well.

Nice!
I do have a similar model, shown in the other topic.
There is also an additional similar model with the main blade (locking) marked Backpacker/Precise, backpacker figure on the scale and only tweezers

Here is an intersting SI/Soldat.  Typically you would never have advertising on a Soldier, or at least Swiss only advertising if the knife has the federal shield, but here you have US advertising and the Swiss Shield.  The knife is undated, and I presume they decided to do this after the 93mm was replaced as standard issue, but I don't know for sure.

Nice Camo Wenger Teton.  The grey coating on the tools, can't remember what it's called, is nice and great to have on the scissors.

(Image removed from quote.)

An interesting point about the camouflage Wengers is that the American versions had matte blades, while the European versions had bright polished blades. I'm not a big fan of camo knives (too easy to lose), but if you're going to have one you probably should have the blade also camouflaged.

:tu: on the Champ, also sold as Classic 28.  A trio of nice finds.

interesting, i agree the matte or the layer would be best on camo, however i have noticed all the different scale patterns and how Wenger really have had this in their philosophy for many years, today we see the AP Blaze and if you look on them they vary in the decoration, the AP Blaze  and the realtree is really a revolutionary camo system, just see the http://www.realtree.com/camo/realtree-camo-patterns/realtree-ap-blaze-orange-camo

No I don't think so, the Dynasty series is something different.  I've seen some documentation that it was enamel, which would seem to make sense, as it's very dark, and Wenger worked with enameled scales on the Tuxedo, and Macao products.

The Life series is maybe just color anodizing, though they have very subtle shadings for the colors and the dark black images, so I'm thinking they may be painted rather than anodized.

They are beautiful, just wish they had scissors.

I found really great offer to buy Wenger S557, but I'm worried about one thing:
On one side is regular Evo red scale and on the other side is EvoGrip red & black?
On the Evo scale there is writing-Exclusivities and also on the box.
Number on the box is 1 557 59 399.
Is this real deal?
