Where I live, Victorinox is what the store shelves are packed with. Don't know why...... but because of it, I've never owned a Wenger SAK.... nothing against them..... just not able to find a store  :-\

Just ordered a couple more off the Catman - wrong time of year for me to be looking at looking at EDCSource  :-[ Deluxe stainless "coffin" cigar cutter with leather inlay and brushed stainless traveller soon to be mine :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :D :D :D

For some reason I keep being drawn towards Victorinox for the normal (standard celidor) stuff and Wenger for the oddbods. Wenger just do oddbods so well  ;) I've also got a nice little assortment of 84mm Vics now for the smaller pocket carry, so I can afford to go for the more unusual and charismatic Wengers  :tu:

The "Weddings and celebrations" SAK, and EDC Wenger pocket carry bases are now covered  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :D :D :D

The scout(purple)is cool but I really don't like the locking blade. That lock digs into my hand bad.

I'm a big fan of my Evo17.  As it happens I've got a Commander in my pocket right now, Evo10 would be it's modern equivalent. :)

If you like the tool setup of it, there are non locking versions of it availably too, also with classic scales. Just not in that colour.

Non-locking versions with that blade configuration include the plain-handled Handyman, and the Evo and EvoGrip 18. If you're looking for something a bit different the EvoGrip is also available in yellow and black. My EDC for a number of years has been a Wenger Traveler; basically drop the saw and change the phillips for a corkscrew. I think the 85mm knives ride better in the pocket than the 91mms, and the 84mm Vics don't currently offer a scissors.

I recommend the evo grip 18. I just received one as a Christmas gift yesterday but can't seem to put it down.

I'd recommed grabbing an EvoWood before they are no longer available.  Then you can look at the other evo grips.

This is an older Viking with Toothpick and Tweezers (not sure if it had a special name, since the Viking didn't include the T&T in standard configuration).

It's scratched up a bit more than the photos show (electronic polish applied), but it up off ebay just because it is branded with the crest of the Swiss military Mountain Infantry 12th Brigade.

No the Commander has a nailfile/cleaner instead of the small blade.

There's a version of the Viking with t&t that was sold in Europe as the Classic 101 (1.10.19). Also had a key ring rather than the short chain found on most Vikings. Neat looking logo by the way.  :tu:

In the past two weeks, I've discovered Wengers other than the SI. I picked up an Evogrip S18 on a whim on New Years' Day, and promptly fell in love with it. What a great knife! My only Wenger on December 31st was an '01 dated SI. I now have 4- I've also picked up an Evowood 18 and an Evo16 lately. The ONLY issue with any of them was that the nail file on the 16 dragged a bit on opening, wouldn't close all the way. A bit of mineral oil fixed that quickly, it's fine now. The Evo16 was in my pocket all day, and I've used every tool on it except for the can opener through the course of the day. I even used the nail file to turn a small screw that the Phillips couldn't get to, worked like a charm. The Evowood18 will be in my pocket tonight in a semi-formal situation. Ahhhh! A new direction for my sickness! Hi, my name's Tom, and I'm DEFINITELY a SAKaholic.......

That is cool! Is it a pin or what?
This is an older, somewhat larger, lapel or hat pin; it measures roughly 28.25mm x 22.5mm.  The bronze background is not part of it, just a convient holder.

My S557 arrived today, and I must say-I think I'm in love  :). F&F are great, I like the pliers better than those on my Deluxe Tinker, and the wrench is a nice addition.

Lots of love here for Wenger.

One of my favorite sak's is a Wenger SI, and sometimes in dress up clothes I carry a Wenger patriot. The patriot is an ideal pen knife, with a ring that can be attached to a watch chain.

Last night, while digging around in a box that came from my parent's attic, I found my 2nd SAK ever... A Wenger... but what's it called again?

This being the Wenger thread and this being my only Wenger (not counting my Hybrid Bantam), I thought this was the place to ask...
