This is my best watch ATM, it's my solid EDC and has been for months.

Casio Gshock MTG-910dj 2v
(Image removed from quote.)

I have one, excellent watch, bracelet is extremely comfortable...
Tom Cruise wears one in MI:3, also Chuck wears one in seasons 1-3.

I didn't know it was so famous!

You're right about the bracelet, it's the most comfortable metal band I've ever owned.

I ordered a new watch today, the first in quite a while.  I' can wait to post picks.

That Pilot watch looks nice, and so do many of the others here.  I think this weekend I'll change up my watch a bit since I rarely do that anymore, it will prepare me for my new one when in arives in a couple weeks.  It's more of a collectable than something I would wear very often... but I'll wear it a few times just because it has to be one the biggest geek watches ever.  Sort of reminds me of jzmtl post, or at lest the first version does.

Been going retro alot... so I decided that this manual wind mechanical was a good watch to prepare for my new arrival.  I can't even remember what it is anymore... the one problem with nice sterile dials.

its a nice panarai homage movement could be a unitas or seagull version, i had a nice one a while back and had a really loud tick, i find these so easy to read and have built a few of these,

this was one i really liked a destro version with a aged dial.

your movement would look like this one .

Zed, you're right.  It has an exhibition back so I took a pic.  Its got different bridge work and it does not have the precision regulator but it's likely the same basic movement.

I have not worn a watch, out of the sea, for several years, though I do buy the occasional one if it looks intertesting.
I found these whilst looking through some of my stuff, from the days when I used to wear watches (before mobile phones).
So, in the topic "what watch did you wear in the eighties:D I reply:
Citizen (good, used it for several years), Tag Heuer immitation from Thailand? (not bad) and French made (by Gruen) Soviet (really rubish, repaired twice soon after I bought it with no success).

They should all work, apart from the Soviet one.

they look cool, i had a copy tag back in the 90's it lasted a week and then stopped i took the back off it and was amazed at how small the quartz movement was in it, it only cost me £15 so i wasnt that bothered,  :D

I knew someone in the UK, in the nineties, that used to get them from Singapore. Aparently there were the really cheap ones that were around a tenner and the ones that supposedly had Citizen or Casio etc. movement and were around 30-50 quid. The expensive ones were better built and had more functions, though I, at the time, just spent the same money and got a Citizen from Argos, that still works, instead of buying an immitation. I got the Tag Heuer myself from Thailand or maybe Singapore. I think it was about a fiver.

Well I saw a Vic Chronograph at a good price with an ETA 7553 in it and was thinking I really wanted it because of the movement and because the design didn't hackup all the hour markers and make the face look like junk.  Still it is a fair bit of change that could buy some really nice SAKs so I've been thinking about it, and the fact that I don't like to buy watches without Tritium these days if I think I will wear it often.  Still I don't have a Vic mechanical and it seem like I should have one.

Anyway... got me thinking about chronographs and when I went to the drawer to get a new Retro style something or other to wear I found the watch below.  Man what a nice retro design, and a good idea for a chronograph design.  Just had to put it on.... the sad thing is I had forgotten that I even owned it since I've been wearing the same watch almost constantly.

Traser Aviator Jungmeister Chrono.

cheers mate, ive been trying to get a watch from my birth year but sadly this swiss eta 2789 is from 71 and i need 70 , it is a lovely watch though and keeps great time, also a shame its original bracelet was too small for my wrists so had to fit another strap, its got a cool blue dial with lines down it that only show at different angles in the light,  :tu:
