I like the black border better.  The contrast is better and it seems to make the knife "pop" a little better.

I think that i'm gonna have to change it depending on each photo then, oh well it would have been nice to have a set border but never mind.

I think that the black one looks much better!

The white one looks better for a lot of people because it's a relatively low-contrast pic. With the white border, it looks vaguely "angelic," while with the black border the pic stands out too much.
If you up the contrast a little on the pic, the colors will darken a little, and with the black border it will scream awesome.
