@ Sean Yup my friend and I did the swapping of them. Bought both knives pretty cheap on BF and worked my plans out. Took me a month or so between buying the rescue to find the leaf at a good deal to make swap with.

@nuphoria I might have a slight thing for orange. I use to have another PE G10 Orange UKPK but can't remember for the life of me what happened to it. ;) ;) :D

Best place for a UKPK  :tu:

What's the bottom knife Ash? Looks like the rescue knife without the serrations.

@cerbera147 that is correct. My friend knew I loved orange ukpks but PE so she traded for that sharpened it to PE and then passed it my way through a trade. Gotta love her. :D

(Image removed from quote.)
I have a UKPK g10 arriving today. :mail:
I am wondering if maybe the urban would have been a better choice, just that little bit smaller and therefore friendlier looking. ...another excuse to buy another knife.

the geometry of that particular urban wharncliff (-like?) blade seemed strange to me, it looked as if the cutting edge was a bit blocked by the handle. People say how good the point is on the wharncliff, but don't mention how the rest of the blade peforms.

Seems a lot of people got a UKPK recently, my blue FRN leaf shape should be here any day now.

I've been wanting a squeak but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Kinda glad now I haven't seeing it compared in size to the UKPK

I spontaneously picked up a blue drop-point FRN at christmas, and it was what got me into them. I lost it though. I think the leaf shape is prettier, more typical spyderco, but my new one will be a drop point, simply because that blade shape was really nice to use when I used it before, and it was the only one I could find for a reasonable price.

I just got my UKPK today, a maroon FRN drop point. It's actually my first Spyderco, and I'm absolutely loving it already. I just need to find my torx driver and set the clip for lefty carry. I used it for most of the day today at work and wow! Just a beautiful little knife.

cool, those are very nice and light in the pocket, and very convenient to pull out of the pocket and put away quickly.
(btw, looking around for a torx screwdriver - that's a good excuse to by a vic cybertool  :pok:)

I got mine of off EDCF for $20+$5 shipping. Also an impulse buy, it was listed for five minutes before I bought it. ;) I couldn't pass an offer like that and I had excellent experience with the seller. I've watched StSchmalhaus's review a number of times since then as mine is the exact same model he show in his video. I like the low riding pocketclip on them the best. I don't like to advertise I'm carrying a knife.

Already on my Christmas list. >:D I found my driver, and flipped the clip to its "correct" side  ;). The only problem I've found so far with the UKPK is that I unconsciously make a move with my thumb when I'm closing it, trying to disengage a non-existent liner lock! :P It's just so ingrained. I'm sure that that will disappear with time, because this little gem is going to be with me for quite a while.

I Would Really Love To Have A UKPK Again.
FRN Or G-10, Maybe Carbon Fiber?
Giving Up The One I Did Have, And Didn't Trade To Ash(Yes I'm The Friend) For Something I Know Someone Will Love. So It's Worth It To Me.

Though I Will Have To Get Ahold Of One Once More. =]

my green g10 drop point arrived today. I'm very happy with it. Will post a few photos. Had some rust on the choils to get rid of. I'm wondering how the g10 wears, whether it will get a nice worn patina or just get dirty.

A few years ago there was a very nice chap on CPF making new scales for many knives. He asked what knife he should make CF scales for next. UKPK said I! Although I didn't have one at the time I new he could sell bucket loads of CF scales.
Well long story short he found a UKPK, he made the scales and sold me a complete knife.....

Very nice Mark  :tu:

I got my UKPK FRN [now gone] as soon as they were released. Followed quickly by the black G10 model [thanks Neil  :salute:]
Always wanted an orange one so my luck came in earlier this year and I got one in a trade :D

Must get some new pics  ::)

The black one is my EDC and the orange stays as back up
