Right Now My Altoids Box Is Carrying My Skull Beads For My Lanyards And An Extra Tail Clicky For My Flashlight.
I Have Been Thinking About Making It More Practical And Adding It To My EDC, But I Have To Think Of What To Put In It.

My local Morrison's supermarket sell Altoids, but as you say the tin is exactly the same as the one you've got. :)

You're right, I never noticed they carried them, but there they were, opposite the candy king. £1.15 Cool. Now I need a purpose for altoids tin #2!

OK, here's one I did for fun.

Bandages, toothbrush and toothpaste, a few pills, spare phone battery, duct tape, MicroSD adapter with 4GB sd card with scanned documents, programs, ... on it, compass, Victorinox Pioneer Apprentice, Peak Matterhorn with a QTC pill for EXTRA long runtimes, fresnel lens, needles, thread and safety pins inside a melted straw.

All packed together inside a Fisherman's Friend tin.

Cool setup! I like the idea with the toothbrush.  8)  Are those "anti-rattling-blankets" fixed to the tin?

I got a buch of those toothbrush/toothpaste thingies last summer at about 0,80 usd a piece. It does come handy. The anti-ratling-blankets are cut from that thin packaging sponge and glued to the tin.

Good idea! And when I think about it, my kits are definitively missing some duct tape. But I have to revise them anyway as soon as my broken finger has healed...  ;)

Does anyone know of a US supplier for the High Tech Ranger Bands?  I haven't been able to find one.

If you're happy with a cheap and ugly alternative, I've used sections of bicycle inner tube on previous tins. For the survival orientated kits, this provides fire lighters too which the silicone ranger bands don't offer (also worked quite well for attaching a Buck Hartsook to the outside of the tin)
