The outdoor is already for sale, the aluminum (I thouhgt) was a special edition and the silex freaked me out (had no idea opinel made these).

wow, very cool. I like the aluminium and the silex one. The outdoors one doesn't do much for me though.

The aluminium and Outdoor versions are great, for they eliminate the main drawback of the Opinel knives: Wooden Opinels tend to expand when getting wet, so the blade is really hard to open on some older knives. Yes, it is wood and normal, but it is a drawback. I guess the main reason why so many people like the ColdSteel Opinel clone is the plastic handle which just is easier to maintain.

I like the ali model not sure about the first one  as for the outdoors model i will pick one up in the end but im not desperate for one, i like my opies in metal and wood
