i'm definitely one of the 'newbies' around here. i've always been more of the lurker type so if what differentiates noobs and veterans is post count, i'll always be in the 'newbie' category. i don't mind waiting and as they say, the more the merrier. i just hope the one who'll be receiving my gift wouldn't mind waiting either since it usually takes a minimum of two weeks for mail to arrive from here to the uk or us.

It doesn't need to be an even number, nor do we need to swap gifts in pairs. We could:Randomise the order of names in the list, each person in the new order gives their gift to the person in front of them. The last person gives their gift to the person at the beginning of the list.We can split the lists out by country quite easily this way too, if necessary.
