I just wanted to highlight great customer service from Rite in the Rain. I bought one of their pens (rebadged Space Pen) a few months back and it recently started to get jammed up and wouldnt retract. I called the company a couple days ago, explained the situation and they are going to send me a newer model replacement pen free of charge in the mail!  :tu:
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I love good customer service.  Its nice when you dont get the run around and double talk when all you want is a straight answer.

Thanks.
He bought it new in 1994, and it was no longer writing. I took it apart and cleaned it up, put some Parker ink in it, and it is writing like new. Built like a tank with a chromed messing barrel.

Sometimes I go  when thinking about the Rotring Newton, Lamy Safari, Rotring Tikky andother nice pens I have lost, misplaced and given away over the years....

These days I do carry a uni ball Power tank - I´t´s cheap, has a pressurized tank and will write upside down and on wet surfaces. And, it will usually be given back when borrowed or not break teh bank - or a friendship - when not.
When wearing more formal attire I do carry a silver Diplomat Spacetec Bullet (licensed Space Pen Bullet) in chrome with pocket clip.

I need to get out the few leftover nice pens and show them off...

BTW: Anyone know a good pencil extender and cap?

My personal favorite for that combo is Faber-Castell's perfect pencil.

Yes - I had one in the typical Faber Castell green but can only find blue and red at the moment  - Not counting the blingy wood and metal versions.
And I seem to remember them to be cheaper - Not that 8-10 € is really that much, but I felt the 5-6 € pricepoint back then was more realistic
Anyways, I think I´ll get one of those before looking into the matter too deep..

my dream pen...some day ....some day..

Custom pen that takes space pen inserts designed for Dango Pioneer Wallet. But honestly would fit almost everything I like to use. My issue is that I find pens really easy to lose, and $35 would make me cry to lose this pen..

Oops double post

Here is another excellent choice. I love that it collapses down to 3.3" and back into a full pen. Much more justifiable cost at $4.50 ish.

When I was working, I always seemed to run out of pens all the time. Now I've stopped working, I'm overrun with them

Nice - mine take up all the draws with the exception of the very bottom which holds my SAK’s

Don't laugh, but for anyone looking for decent throwaway pens, checkout the selection at Dollar Tree.  The have many selections, at a great price.

Many of the will accept refills from the more popular pens.
