I never got along with Fisher Space pens.  I dislike the globby sticky ink.  I found the Uni Powertank last year and like them very much.

I'm not into writing instruments per se, but I recently received this rOtoring 600 as a gift and the quality is to be admired. It contains an upgrade, the ink cartridge which is a pleasure to write with. rOtoring also makes very nice mechanical pencils, though I have noticed that the tip is so thin on those that if dropped they will bend.

This pen does not share the same weak point and is quite robust. The clicking action is very satisfying!

I haven't used this pen in a while. Its sterling silver and actually pretty great writing pen.  The ink is nice but not marked so I don't know who its from.

My leather work note book.  Special guest is my wonderful Robeson.

I stick to fountain pens for the most part [let's not go down THAT rabbit-hole] but will note that a Parker G2 gel refill fits many other brands, and is a big step up from a 'normal' ballpoint: dark saturated line, bolder width, and very smooth.

I saw a clear baggies with 4 pens and several boxes of ink cartridges.  I was at the flea market and had to ask how much.  I first tried each pen to see if the worked and quickly looked them up to see price.  The lady said give me a buck ( $1 US ).  Ok what the heck I could spend a dollar and give them a go.  They all needed to be cleaned thats for sure.

What I got were
JINHAO brand fountain pens.

X450
X750
(2) 250s

They are not great as I've tried nicer pens but they are usable and I have lots of ink.

I can appreciate the beauty of charm of fountain pens, but as users I just find them worse in every single way than gel pens. They're lovely for those times you want to sit down and write something meaningful or have fun, but not for carrying around work and using with printer paper for me.

These days, it's all gel and Uni Jetstreams for me.
