I just did a search for "Encyclopaedia" and had to amend it - Hawkchucker is the only one who has ever mentioned it  :o

Heh, anyway.

Come someone tell me what the requirements are for articles on the MT.O Wiki? Cause, bizarrely it's looking pretty sparse on the Big Name tools, with most detail on the rare and obscure?

What can we do to fill it up on the LM/SOG/Gerber side of things?

I found this "oddity" while surfing the net, don't ask me how to get it,
or anything about it, it didn't say (I don't even know if it's real),
it was in some goofy forum I've never been too! :P

judge others by how they treat those they are allowed to mistreat

Looks like a sweet foolclip with hammer!

I'll take two.

Plus a bag of candy floss, if you're giving them away (I can never tell - maybe they only give them away to children? What a bloody rort. Just because I make an income doesn't mean I should let you have it)

Hammer notwithstanding, I'm surprised that design has not taken off more - it combines the best of both worlds in knife/plier/multitool goodness.

They exist. Chinese manufactured. You'll never get the company's name, I'm sure. There's other versions too by various companies...

And there's also hatchet/plier heads and other weird stuff...

I have one where pliers fold out from the handle instead of being incorporated into the head, found it at Kohl's or something at some point. Branded Protocol.
Got those frog legs.

It's pretty simple- the Encyclopedia/Wiki is user editable which means all you have to do is sign up there and start typing!  Anyone can add or edit the information there, and don't worry about screwing it up, as we can always roll it back- it archives old pages in case of booboos.  Any word with a question mark next to it is a word or term that needs to be defined, so if you see a question mark next to something you know anything about, click on it and fill in the gap!

Yep, just like Def said. Anyone is free to jump in there and add info. Don't hesitate to ask for help as needed.

As regards the Encyclopedia in general, it is a monster of a project. There are hundreds of different multitools in existence, every one of which deserves mention. That's why Def made it user-editable, so that we could all pitch in. Otherwise its much too large of a project for any one or two people to do.

As you noted Nomad so far there are mostly obscure tools posted. Back when it first started I wanted to improve my skills on those before tackling the major LM/SOG/Gerber models.  :-\

Was just looking at the Aitor page.

Al-Ligator?
ej. navajas abiertas Police Knife?
Fisherman?
Jardin?

Did you know I had those 4 on the way when you did that page?
I guess I've got some work to do.

I have added entries for the Al-LigatorFisherman, and Jardin.
There is already an entry for the ej. navajas abiertas Police Knife,
which doesn't seem to be quite the same as the Gran Police I have anyway.
