I have been trying to find a place to buy this tool but I can't seem to locate it at the Brooks-Range site.  I wonder if it's already discontinued, or been removed due to copyright/patent infringement issues?

SPECS:

Price: $69.95US
Size Closed: 3.5cm x 10.5 cm / 1.4" x 4.1"
Size Extended: 9cm x 15.5cm / 3.5" x 6.1"
Weight: 205g / 7.2oz
Weight with out add-ons: 165g / 5.8oz

Of course with an MSRP of $70 I wasn't certain this was something I wanted to get into anyway.

Def, Some other links I found http://offpistemag.com/permalink.asp?id=594 and http://www.trailspace.com/gear/brooks-range/backcountry-multi-tool/ The off piste site has a comment saying they bought it 10/14/2011 here http://www.alaskamountaineering.com/index.cfm :tu:

Thanks, but it looks like I may have a solution for this one.

Someone else did and offered to add one to his order for me.

We'll have to see what the quality is like on it.  My hope is that for the price the quality should be quite decent, but I've seen tools go for that much that were monkey poo, so I'm not holding my breath.

Now you got an excuse to take up skiing, how else could you review the tool.  :pok:

Given how successful my attempts at snowboarding were, I doubt that will happen!  :D
