The cheap MT picture thread,
on: November 29, 2011, 10:20:11 AM
After picking these two up last week i feel ive now found a affordable way to collect other MT's even i can afford  :D so ill start with these two and hopefully ill add more soon, please put up info and pics on your cheap MT's  :tu:

ill kick off with the Trail outdoor and leisure ii function MT i counted 13 functions though  ;) its a very solid Sog based tool blade needed sharpening and the pliers needed oil but a very cool tool for £3.99  nylon sheath rubbish,

next the mini rolson (mini suspension ) MT a nice solid little MT good for pocket carry but i felt a little large for a keychain tool but some dont mind the bulk, scissors are not great for nails but good on paper, wire cutter works well, drivers small so a better electrical tool, cost also £3.99 almost £8 for both MT's, ive got a smaller version of the trail coming so ill add that soon,  :tu:

Here are a few for you Zed.

A Jobmate set. Nice rubbery surface. A definite clone of the PST though, right down to the nail nick cutouts in the handles. Did you say cheap? This fits the bill nicely.

Zed are you going for the other sizes as well?  :D

Here are a few more for you.

Part of the cheap and cheerful series. This shape is quite common, particularly from China. Actually not bad for the dough.

This is my Woody Brigade. You would think wood would appear more often in MT  handles. Well it did for a time, but these seem to be harder and harder to find. Well at least around where I live.

These pocket sized tools are colourful. if I stumble across some that are very cheap, I may  buy one of each colour just for kicks.

Well here's a few :tu:
Got this little set off ebay UK £7.50 delivered, all in a nice wooden box.

The one with the black button has an led torch, ooh you say, the one with the scissors is like a micra.

The little plier one is like a micro tool clip.

These are from this post http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,31948.0.html

Do they count  :tu:

ps. Not the INOVA or TEKTITE, just the glorious True Utility's ;)

None of them is total rubbish, I just have better toys to play with. The pliers ones are OK really.

I got several of the Card ones last year from ebay for around $1 with shipping.
I gave many away for mini christmas presents etc, but I was still left with several, and most of the people I know already have one, from me. :D

They did like them, actually.!

Tried the True Utility for a bit on my keys but the scissor spring jammed up when closing, so its in a box with other bits and bobs. I had a few of them but gave them away a while ago here The hideously horrendous cheap n nasty multitool give away along with the Jack Pyke Crunch clone, it was okay just no where near the quality of the real Crunch. There's more about it here Jack Pyke Crunch Clone :tu:

ps. Kutmaster True Utility type but looks a bit more solid also one on EDC KutMaster Minimaster MultiTool

Got this wee guy used from a local auction site for NZ$1.50.
The plan was to raid it for the screws but it is growing on me.

Next to the micra for size comparison.
Same thickness, about 1mm wider and 2mm longer.

Jaws fit together very nicely.

And the pliers are 'spring-action'.

Awl, scissors, file and v-grind blade etc and some... totally kickass!
