A friend came up with a great lanyard design. He asked me to make it and tie it to his spyderco for him, and then I added some smaller skulls too…..

Excellent knot work folks!  Keep 'em coming.  8)

I tied a 13 lead 4 bight Turk's head knot around the Mora Robust's sheath, doubled using a little over 10 feet of red paracord. A 3" x 1/4" firesteel blank was integrated into the TH knot.

The firesteel has a glow-in-the-dark 5 lead 4 bight Turk's head knot for a grip, which is epoxied to the firesteel.

I'd recommend using a ranger band or grip tape around the sheath before tying cord over it,
to help secure it in place on the smooth plastic sheath.

I'd also look for a thin stiff plastic tube to serve as a sheath for the firesteel, and knot over that for easier in and out of the rod from the TH knot. As it is, it's tight to the point that it won't accidentally fall out, but putting it back in place takes a bit of wiggle work... ;)

Next, I need to drill a hole in the knife handle to add a wrist lanyard...  :D

I've made simple items (box stitch lanyard, cobra weave bracelets, etc.) but now I have a dilemma... I broke two fingers on my good (left) hand! Anybody want to sell or trade for some items?
This is gonna hurt...

I got a bunch of clips from Ashley, along with some paracord.  I figured it was time to give a couple of things a shot.  I've made a few simple box lanyards, and decided to give the cobra a go.

It's a bit crooked here and there, but not too bad for a first attempt I think.

I uploaded a video for tying a 'long 4 bight' Turk's head knot. I put it up to help those that couldn't quite duplicate tying one from Bud Brewer's photo tutorial, so between the two it might help someone get a better idea of tying one, to add to a walking staff, cane, knife grip, flashlight, sheath, lanyard/fob, bracelet, etc... :)

Mine is simple. I posted this in the Knife EDC Thread today as well.

I made this a while back but just saw this thread the other day. So many paracord ideas in this thread almost makes my head spin  :ahhh

The knife is one I got a year ago when I went on a pheasant hunt at the Flint Oak Lodge in southern Kansas. I know it's a Benchmade 527 Mel Pardue design but nothing else. I'm not very familiar with the Benchmade brand or Mel Pardue so I went to their site and checked it out. Mel is one of the main designers at Benchmade. It's a very handy knife for the size.

The fob was made so I could easily get it from my pocket or where ever I have it atm. It's really nothing compared to some of the stuff I see on here though, y'all do some great paracord work here and it gives me so many ideas. I just got a couple skeins of three different colors of paracord in (black, coyote brown and od green) and some stainless adjustable shackles the other day for an attempt to do some bracelets for myself and maybe family members for Christmas. I will, more than likely, do colors more suitable for them like blue/ yellow/ red for my daughter's boyfriend who loves Superman. I'm very interested in the king cobra weave and a new one Ash told me about called the river bar weave. I have done a couple different weaves in the past but none using the shackle as a connector. So I have my fingers crossed and will probably start on one tomorrow. If I really like it I may make or buy a jig and use that to help with weaving. Any thoughts or ideas that may help in my new journey on this would be greatly appreciated.  :tu:

'Spindle Fiber Bar' paracord watchband that I tied with black paracord and a 5/8" side release buckle.  JD(TIAT) shows this tie as a two color paracord bracelet with knot and loop closure in his book, 'Paracord Fusion Ties - Volume 1'.

I made this last night. It's my first attempt at the king cobra weave. I added a third color weaving it into the second layer.

Been looking at your blog for most of the day today. Man, you have some really good work on there. So many ideas. I think my next creation after I make the kid's Christmas bracelets will be a Turks head on a knife I got with a box of cigars
