There is about 120 feet of paracord total in the leash.  The total length of the leash is 9 ft.  I design it so it can be used as a 9ft leash with a standard hand loop or as a hands free leash that goes cross body.  As a hands free leash it is just under 5ft but also has a ring so in tighter situations it can easily be reduced to 3ft and still be hands free.  Because of the snap hook on each end in a crunch it can be used as a short tie out or I also used as a double leash when a dog got loose and I walked her home with my dog.

It is about 55-60ft of each color.  I made my first one a few years ago after realizing what I wanted and not being able to find it and have made minor adjustments in since first.  The double leash use is more for out of necessity rather than regular because there is no handle so your just holding the leash.  I did make a couple better suited for that when a friend offered to pay and asked for a few mods.

Thank you,  :hatsoff: Pit carver it is not a hard knot to tie. I too have tried tieing it a few times in the past and could not get it right. I watched this video and I was able to do get it the first time I tried it. ;-)

A simple single strand paracord lanyard tied with a Spanish Bowline (ABoK # 1087) and The Perfection Loop (ABoK # 1017 ~ The Angler's Loop). Lanyard shown used with an EDC keychain setup.

Made a tie for my dogs new bandana.  I was going to do a fishtail but was having difficulty figuring out how I was going to do the adjusting knot.

The 3 loops on then left are just something I do for carrying used dog poop bags attached to the leash vice carrying in hand.  Wrap the loop end around a metal ring or leash handle the use the knot a slide lock to clasp the knotted bag.  Simple but nice.
