Yeah it's a tough little bugger, I used the first part of your link Mike http://www.marinews.com/Sailors-Knife-Lanyard-Knot-784.php and after the Carrick bend I used stormdrains.

Very satisfying when it slid into shape  :2tu:

Must do a givaway sometime to you guys when I get some more practice in, as a thank you for getting me into knots  :tu:

Knot a problem. :tu:
Got those frog legs.

Haha! That's teh one that Peter Atwood uses - it took me a while to figure it out - but I did eventually. Wish I'd seen Stormdrane's link first though!

I have that on my Ladybug.

Thanks for the encouragement chaps.
I don't like too much on the knife/multi tool as paracord gets in the way sometimes - but they are a must for my torches/flashlights, especially the ones that need a cigar hold like the nitecores and fenix's small uns'. The glow bits come in real handy for finding your light in the dark.

Question about paracord 550.  How strong is the outside sheath once you've removed the innards?  How much weight can it take before it tears?

Thanks!

Per this, it seems like it's at least 225lb.

I wonder if the weave is different if it's coreless.  In other words, it's probably not hollow to give it structural integrity.

WELL, there's one way to find out!  Weigh it down until it breaks.
