I made a paracord pouch for my River Rock 3AA LED lantern and it also works as a can koozie.  A 2 foot piece of paracord used for the cinch section with cord lock, and I didn't measure the cord, so I'd have to guess something like 30 to 40 feet of paracord used for the single strand for the cow hitching, and finished the bottom with half hitching.  The hitching allows some stretch/elongation of the pouch to fit both the lantern and a soda/beer can.

Is there a video somewhere showing how to do this type of hitching?

Cow hitching is done similarly to half hitching/needle hitching, same type of process, just making the cow hitch/larks head each time instead of a half hitch.

Have you considered making a mankini?  >:D

I've not tied any knot underwear, but it is , lol...

Left my paracord at home whilst reading this thread, and so I took apart a work lanyard to satisfy my knitting fix.

A 'Slatt's Rescue Belt' as a paracord bracelet...

Splendid work as ever sir  :salute:

I was looking at this pattern the other day and thinking of doing a bracelet instead of a belt myself - now you have saved me working all this out:

Any idea what length or cord you're using per inch?
How wide did it come out?
Also, is there any reason it can't be made with 3 loops instead of four, width wise?

Cheers :D

Thank ya'll.  :D

When I tried following the original tutorial a few years ago, I couldn't get it to come out the way I wanted, so I moved on to other things.  JD of recently put up a YouTube video of the tying process, and that made me want to try it again, doing a paracord bracelet version.  They also posted a great photo tutorial on the IGKT forums(International Guild of Knot Tyers), and that one shows a 3 loop version attached to rings, which is the same process I used, substituting a 5/8" side-release buckle and adding another loop to fill the space on the ends of the buckle.

The amount of cord used is going to vary depending on how tight/loose you make it as well as how many loops you use.  For the paracord bracelet version, I used around 1.5 feet of paracord per inch with the four loops, but it's always a good idea to use more than you think you need to be on the safe side.   ;)  The bracelet is about 1 inch wide and a hair over a 1/4 inch thick.

I've already tied/untied a couple of lanyard versions with swivel clips, but won't post those until I get them just right.   :D
