Almost make me want to get an umnumzaan.

Scary thing is I bitch about them being expensive, but now that I think about it I can get one without problem with all the money I've spent on knives, and if I sell a couple I can really get one.

That was my thinking. I sold off lots of double tools that I had that were just sitting around. I really like my Zaan but sometimes I think of all the nice 3 or 4 Spydies I could have gotten insted and a gringe.

I just picked up some navy and yellow paracord started off with a stitch I learned quite a few years ago in summer camp, not sure what its called.

I also made a small lanyard for my camera, thanks to stormdrane's tutorial, but I couldn't take a picture of that one $:-\$ . (well I guess I could have used a mirror)

Am rather new to knotting, and the following is a picture of a recent craft I've completed.. please don't shoot me down in flames... I do know it's rather untidy and rather ugly, but I need a belt because my old belt gave way, and I reckon with a bunch of paracord lying around and a dollar at the store for the buckle I could make my own.

Looks just fine to me. As you say perhaps not the neatest job possible but it'll still keep your trousers up.

I agree. You did a fine job. Working with alot of cord at one time like you did can be tricky.

I wanted to try something different than skull beads on some lanyards but there are no stores around here with any. So I went to hardware store and got some copper tubing and tried my hand at making some. How do they look?

I don't remember the size. I got the thicker stuff. I had to use the dremel to cut them. I can't squeeze them with my hands. We'll see if they hold up over time.

If they won't deform with a good squeeze they should be fine

I've got some suitable aluminium tubing I could do the same with, I just need the knotting skills to go with the beads

I have some aluminium "tube" beads that I got from Rotokid a while back. The pic here is obviously a very simply lanyard, but you can see the bead pretty clearly:

The lanyard is perfect for the Ladybug, and makes it easy to find and retrieve from the bottom of your pocket!
