OK I see people making lanyards with paracord and heck I have been sent a Leatherman Supertool that has one of these on it.  How do I make little carry handle lanyards for a multi tool if I want one?

I played around a little bit with paracord and this is what I made so far: a bracelet, a monkey fist, a plain lanyard and some kind of lanyard with karabiner and keyring.

That Monkey Fist looks good  :tu:

I'd like to give it a go. How difficult was it to make on a scale of 1 -10?

Thanks! It wasn't really difficult, if 1 was easiest and 10 hardest I would give it a 3 or 4. You only need patience to make it look nice and to tighten the cord, and this is one out of 3 monkey fists I made and the only one that turned out really nice. The other ones are OK, but not that perfect like this one. Amazingly this one was the first one I made

The 'Oblong knot' is a rectangular variation of the 'Chinese Cloverleaf knot'.

I pulled one paracord strand end back through the center of the tightened oblong knot, using hemotstats to create a loop on one end, and added a Spartan Helmet bead(my only Blade Show acquisition, besides three Diet Cokes).  Finished by adding a cord lock and lanyard knot with the ends for wrist lanyard use...

I would just do some tight half hitches.

I have a few things to post here, bear with me please...

First a dog lead for my German friend (well for her dog, not for her!), after making it I found out the yellow should be Gold , I hope she won't be upset that I got it wrong. For the first time I used a 3 core weave for the three colours, with a couple of diamond knots to finish each end.

A small bell rope thing, no use what so ever, but fun to make. I guess it could be used as a large keyfob?

Tan and purple go well together....

As you can see, you can get a lot done when you bugger your knee and have to rest it up for a few days!

That looks fine! Don't worry about the yellow. About everything here regarding our national colors is yellow, we just call it gold  ;)

I continue to find so many cool mods, ideas and things to do on this forum. This is my first attempt at a lanyard-thingy using king cobra stitches
