I found a place that still had a Freestyle CX, and it's now on its way to me. Like many I wish that the Freestyle had a bit exchanger. Did anybody susccessfully mod a Freestyle to include one?  I've been searching but haven't found anything.

My wife recently bought me another Freestyle. I think I stated before It's best to think of it not as a multitool but more of a knife ...with pliers. I think a small bit holder would have made this way more popular but here it is. It is hard to carry just the Freestyle based on its limitations but the knife and pliers carry their weight well.

Great Freestyles, guys! :like:

Effjaybay,
Is that an older plain edge version, or did you mod it?

Thanks gerleatherberman . It's not an older model. I swapped the blade out of a KB knife. I like the plain edge better  :tu:

Worth noting this is $23 on leatherman’s website atm, I’m guessing its getting discontinued. Things are a little updside down when a Squirt is 33...Style CS/PS is $30ish..and the freestyle is less...

Hello Freestylers  :woohoo:

A small Magnet holds the Little Screwdriver and a Needle , the Screwdriver works very good in the “ Mouth” of the Freestyle.

The Victorinox Tweezers and the Toothpik also are safty under the Edge .

Nice pic  :like:

I am curious. Do you use those self-tapping screws for attaching corrugated wall ties to metal? Or were they on a jobsite and you borrowed them for the pic?

No problem :tu: they are handy for lots of other things but that is the main reason we order them

Tek5 screws are my favorite though :ahhh they can drill and tap 1/2 inch steel while holding a masonry tie to the building :woohoo: they drill almost better than a lot of regular drill bits  8)

I typically use the Tek3 screws sold at Home Depot. If I have to fasten something to thicker steel, I use a drill bit and then a bolt and nut.

However, I would definitely order and use Tek5 screws if I had to attach a bunch of wall ties to steel that could be up to 1/2" thick  :salute:
