Juice C2... in BLACK?????

I wasn't able to get a response from LM yet, but has anyone else seen the black Juice C2?
On LM's facebook page, someone posted a pic of the black C2 and red Style combo packaging. Now most people who do their research will notice that the only two colors the C2 "supposedly" comes in is RED and GRAY.
Funny thing is..... when the pic was first posted, a comment from LM was left that said they do NOT make a black C2!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't Juli from LM that responded though... it was when The Wingman was running the page.
Since the pic ORIGINALLY came from MT.O, he said something along the lines of, "A lot of the guys/gals on MT.O customize their LMs, so it was probably a mod."
Well, recently, I found the BLACK C2 and red Style in a Coast Guard Exchange down the street from my house.
Does anyone have ANY info on the "new" C2?

I have never seen ANY Juice in BO. Must be a custom job. LM certainly didn't release it.

Yea, the LM facebook page never was of great help to me, but we later found them at Amazon and some other places too.

Peaople who bought them say it's a very dark gray, not completely black.

Campmor had some in stock; I picked up one for a friend - just in time, it seems, as they're no longer listed on their website.

And yes, it's a dark grey/brown, not black.

Someone just plugged in the wrong formula for "storm gray" when creating the color for the handles.

Here's my only argument...... I saw the "special" C2's myself in a store. I was able to look at them closely, and it was as black as black can get! It was in the official Leatherman packaging. There was about 8 of them on the shelf when I checked..... Either someone at the factory slipped up and we now have some rare C2's in production, or those "special" C2's are a short run mad for a specific company.... but they are on the shelves for sure (packaged along with a red Style).

try checking in Military Exchange stores...... I saw them in the Coast Guard exchange and the Marine exchange.....
I think someone in the LM factory wanted themselves a "custom" all black C2, and accidentally hit a wrong button, hahhaa..... I am curious as to HOW MANY of them are in production at the moment. When LM said that they didn't make a black one, that made me think that it might have been ACCIDENTALLY made..... rare???

Okay, in Juli's words (she's the Leatherman representative):

"Sorry Adam...thought you saw my reply a while back. Juice C2 in Black was a special make-up for Costco we did a LOOOOOOOONG time ago. Other than we didn't sell them to anyone, but Costco may have sold their inventory to someone else - OR as... I often see at "exchange" shows and stores, the owners go out and buy the Costco combos then mark them up and re-sell them in their stores. So it's not a tool we have made in ages or have any plan to make anytime soon."

I THINK I just ran across one of these the other day.

It was in a metal tin with a style. I don't think the style was red. I don't really recall what color it was.

Is this thing still a hot collector's piece? And if so, what's it worth?
