Alright!  Very few SAKs have captured my eye and imagination like this new edition of Victorinox Executive.

So lets see 'em!  Post up those Pre-historic beauties!

Looks nice for sure, but I don't think I could get one.  Feels odd or kind of wrong to me to use mammoth ivory like that, feels like it should be in a museum.  I know they aren't as rare as a trex skeleton or something, but I'd feel weird owning that.   Just my opinion, but again, it does look really nice.  Some knife makers still use pre-ban elephant ivory too though, so it has its market.

Not quite as stunning as my earlier one, but just have to look a little deeper for the beauty.

I just have 2 but may get others if I can get good pictures of them first and the price is right. I have not carried them yet, but I expect one will become my dress knife of choice or when I need to travel light.

These scales are easy to made by yourself I think, the problem is
just to find the right pieces of scales with no cracks or just fine stabilized.
I'm hunting now for mammoth tooth pieces and try to made one
91mm by myself. :D

According to Victorinox, the Ivory is very hard to work and takes a lot of patience and skill.

I have carved SAK toothpicks from this material (with an SAK small blade of course) and found it to be honest and cooperative.
The work takes on a life unplanned
and the painter finds the painting directs the hand
