The largest user light I have is Fenix PD32, it's also the brightest I own.  I do have a 2 cell Maglite that lives by my bed side.

I tend to like the AA/AAA lights with at least 75lm and multiple modes.  I like the firefly modes and have no issues with strobes.

I like these size lights due to limited space in my pockets and belt, also because I can carry a back up as a cell mule.   I figure for the space of 2 small AAA lights I not only have a back up cell but also a back up light.  I run eneloops mostly but continue to have alkaline.

I just bought one of these Craftsman lights:

http://www.craftsman.com/craftsman-led-pocket-ligth-black/p-03473965000P?prdNo=20&blockNo=20&blockType=G20

I had a coupon and some points leftover so it ended up being $0.38 Cents  :D

I needed a new flashlight for the garage and this little sucker is bright and magnetic.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I think this is just another trend, that is,buying smaller flashlights.

Back in the day, when Maglites were state of the art in lights, everyone of my friends had one or more. Some of my friends thought that bigger was better and bought 4,5 and 6 cell Maglites.I bought a 2 cell light and when my wife continued to use it and leave it in places where I couldn't readily find it,I bought another. This gave me the excuse to buy a 4 cell light and I then gave my wife the 2 cell.

When Maglite developed their Mini-maglite all of my hunter/hiker friends bought those and marveled at their brightness and adjustable focus capabilities.LOL

Now the obvious trend is smaller and brighter.I'm just curious where it will end. Will they develop a light that is smaller than a short pencil with 5,000 lumens and a week of runtime?  LOL

I don't wear suits anymore so I have no dire need for miniatures.I have plenty of room in my daily attire to carry my new "pocket rocket",a Surefire EB2 Backup along with a multi-tool and the knife of my choice.

@Toolguy, you're probably right more or less with the miniaturizing of flashlights.  Happened with cell phones, we went from huge ole phones down to tiny little phones back to large ones.

I have mini mags too that live in my truck.  I dig the form factor mostly plus the portability is nice, the lumens sure are getting up there too.

My Small light and my Big light are both my Oldest Lights
A Eveready SportsGear, and a Maglight 4D. Both live in my car and have provided reliable, steady light for...too long. They are far from the latest or greatest, but they are both still going and I see no reason to change that.

My "New" lights are two CR123 LEDs (erh, a surefire..and..something else in alloy etc. Wonderful when they are working. Both get hot, and have short run times, and are mostly frustrating) and a 3xAA MityLite, which I am still deciding on.

Got my self the SUNWAYMAN C22C, very nice and bright little light (max output 1000 lumens), it has dual LED's and they can work independently as well as simultaneously so you can have the advantages of both, traditional and L-shaped flashlights.

It's here! Wow, never had a zebralight. I've got a 2xcr123 innova titanium light with a twisty tail with a momentary on button, that i love, but isnt the brightest, and drinks batteries like coca cola. This sc52 (NW of course), is amazing! Super bright high, super low low, the only thing that is the least bit annoying is the slight lag in the switch. But it isnt like I need it to turn off and on the microsecond I tell it to  :D

I'm another Zebralight fan (I have quite a few, mostly single AA size).  The slight delay in reacting to the operation of the switch is inherent in the user interface, it is waiting to see whether you want to change light levels (eg press and hold) or do something else.  I got used to it very quickly.

I see that now. And wow does it have the most useful, intuitive interface! Wow!  6 modes at my fingertips, with battery level test and everything!

I've succumbed to temptation and got a Nitecore Tube  :)

While it will never be a primary light for me, it's certainly an excellent replacement for the Photon II on my car keys. I've not charged it up yet, and don't know how often it will get used, but it's nice to know I can just charge it back up if it comes on accidentally, rather than having to track down the appropriate coin cells.

The Tube is a very cool little light.  I'm a big Nitecore fan.

My most recent Nitecore purchase (back in July) was the HC50 headlamp.  Very solid little headlamp - extremely useful, and surprisingly light in weight, in spite of its solid aluminum housing.

5 brightness levels, with S.O.S. and beacon.
Runs on a single 18650 battery.
Has dual Red emitters, as well (solid, or flashing)

Last month, I picked up these three lights:

Left to Right: EagleTac MX25L3C (6 Nichia 219 emitters), Armytek Dobermann XP-L, and Solarforce L2-D18, with Sportac triple XP-G2 R5 single-mode.

I finally received my MTO Prize.. Led Lenser F1.
I really do love it.. perfect fit and finish, light, very cool looking, lots of accessories, very bright, very ergonomical - Blows my poor, similarly-sized Sipik clone out of the water...

Is it a great flashlight? - undeniably so.
Will it be stuck as part of my edc? - for now, at least, it is a bit too big for regular edc and the battery is quite exotic
Is it worth 110 USD? - well, depends on your budget... if your salary is in the 500 USD range, there are far cheaper, stronger options, if it is on the 2000 USD range and higher, it is truly a beautiful, well-machined, comfy device...

Thank you MTO and Led Lenser...

My most recent purchase (actually, my only purchase this month lol) was a Zebralight SC62W (neutral tint), which should be arriving in tomorrow's mail.  After reading countless positive reviews on this light, I just had to get my hands on one.

I'll post pictures, after the light arrives :D
