Sold some knot work to buy this Olight S1 Baton, which is going on my keychain for edc, replacing my Acebeam L10. It's shorter but thicker than the L10, and smaller than the Olight S10 I have tucked away in a gadget drawer that seemed just a tad too large for keyring duty.

I like the S1 features and the ability to use rechargeable RCR123/16340 means saving money on batteries, with the slight downside of shorter runtimes than using primary CR123A cells.

As soon as it arrived today I used a scrap length of 0.9mm orange cord to tie the Spanish ring accent knot around the small groove at the head end of the light. I'll use the same attachment clip on my keyring that clipped to the split rings I've added to other flashlights for quick detachment when necessary. I like the titanium, brass, and copper versions, but decided to go with the basic aluminum body.

I actually like the S1 so much, I'll probably sell off most of the others I have.

I found this Realtree mini lantern flashlight at Kohl's after christmas for $4.80. It looked cheap and the only reason I bought it was because it was in camo and I have a thing for camo. Took it home and it beat my Streamlight Siege lantern in brightness. I was pleasantly surprised.

So when my wife wanted to pay a visit to Kohl's today I quickly jumped at the idea (she was surprised) and luckily they had a few left and I grabbed another in black. For under $5 they will make excellent camping tent lanterns or backups if you got a nicer one.

They are very useful. If you do not mind waiting eBay has them for half the price. Do a search for cree lantern.

Recently bought a Nebo Larry C flashlight with COB LED, nice bright close area floodlight to light up a room/tent/engine compartment or whatnot, and an Olight RCR123A battery for my S1 Baton, less runtime than primary CR123 batteries but a money saver in the long run with a supposed 500 recharge cycles in one battery.

How do you like it? Mine was so flickery I regretted ever considering it.

However... if I ever receive my "additional" payment I was promised for the end of the year, I may commit the sin of buying a copper Lumintop Tool

So far so good. It was used pretty heavily while vacuuming out the dryer vent last night. It survived being taped to the dryer right above the door hanging down and being hit repeatedly by the vacuum in the process.

I had a regular Solitaire on my keychain and it felt like a natural progression going up to the LED version. I was looking at other keychain lights but this just seemed like a no brainer.

It must be okay. I didn't hear any complaints from mrs. TJ about being not bright enough last night

Absolutely incredible review!

One of the only times I've seen math used out of high school

It's hard to think about a flashlight being "too hot" to hold. I own a Nitecore EA41 and absolutely love it. It'll eat through some AAs but I only use it on high......
