While I have a Gerber Infinity Ultra-M on the way, I just got these in the mail today: a bunch of fauxtons. They're plenty bright. The little button intended to keep them on actually works (which I understand isn't always the case), and they're 10 for $5 (with shipping factored in). They don't need to be great. I'm just putting them on backpack zippers and such.

My newest flashlight is a 2xAAA Pelican 1920 (shown in the middle in the photo below).

The Pelican 1920 is my favorite penlight and has been serving EDC duty.  It is a little brighter than the C4 Streamlight Stylus Pro, has a larger hot spot, and a thicker battery tube.  Both lights have forward clicky switches which provide momentary action.

Great light Parnass!  I love the streamlights but have always found them a bit on the dim side for what they are.  I prefer my Fenix over my streamlight, but if that pelican has a decent hotspot without a noticeable corona then I may look at getting one.

I really like the look of that as a work light. Not available over here though, and my funds are being rapidly consumed by other things  :(

The Pelican 1920 has a decent pocket clip, although hidden from view in my photo.   Pelican's web page contains several photos showing the pocket clip.  Check it out:

I have EDC'd a Zebralight SC600 for several months and absolutely love it! It's just under 4.25" and claims 750 lumens on one 18650 rechargeable lithium ion battery. It's small enough to fit comfortably in whatever I'm wearing, and I carry it on my person both day and night.

The Zebralight SC600 has an XML emitter and is an amazing little light. I love the user interface on this light, also!
Shoot low, they might be crawlin'

My Gerber Infinity Ultra-M finally showed up!

Good size/weight, super sturdy clip, and I have no fear of this thing breaking. I'm know it's made for long duration, not brightness, and that's what I was looking for, but It's REALLY low output. I'll see how I like it after a while.

Lynn, If you're not happy with it, I'll buy it from you. Being a flashaholic, I have no problem taking if off of your hands of you're not happy with it. One of the few types I don't have yet.

Xtar D02, diving torch
I will post some more about it in my usual review thread.
Smaller than I expected (C8 sized), deliberately chose the AAA model for ease when away from home.

I'd be interested to hear how well the xtars level selector works as it seems quite a hard design to seal from the water.

Deja vu anyone? I got a Zebralight SC600 a week or so ago along with an iTP A3 titanium and a Jetbeam TCR1, all nice in their own special way.

It still amuses me how much smaller the zebralight is compared to other 18650 lights.

Pictures of most of my work can be found on my Facebook Page.

Tofty, there is no physical contact between the selector and the inside, from what I can see and understand.
A system is used that detects the position of the switch and adjusts the brightness accordingly.
I assume it will be something similar to the systems used in metal detectors, utilising the effect a metal has in the uniformity of an electric field.
Basically the switch is on "off" untill halfway up and then it switches on, on low, getting brighter the further up it moves, like if a rheostat was used.

I received this sweet little penlight today. Solitaire for size reference.

It's the Led Lenser Chipfire V16. Low output, I't say in the 4-6 lumen range, but great for checking into tight spaces or dressy attire.

Awesome, glad it worked out for you. Let me know if the preon red goes with the SAK red, I'm getting a swisschamp soon and I want to color coordinate. If you have a 10440 Li-ion battery, the preon gets pretty bright. And the tail clicky option is great for fast, one handed mode changing...

Wow, I'm a flashaholic, and I have a problem.

Is your problem that you don't have enough flash-lights?

I'm really no help.

I'll see about getting a shot with a VIC and my red Squirt S4.

EDIT: And... here it is. The Squirt is slightly toward magenta, and the Preon is a little moreso.

Thanks for the picture Lynn, almost pulled the trigger on a red preon but it looks closer to "pretty pink" instead of "royal red" as they name it. Looks like its back to the old drawing board for my next flashlight.
