Compared to the SC52 or H52 specifically or just Zebralight in general?

They have similar UI's which I really like since I absolutely love the UI Zebralight uses. Obviously there are less modes to choose from with the S1R, but that's alright. I wish the S1R had the 4 click option to check battery life like the Zebralight's, but the Zebralight does not have a electronic lockout. I like the clip better on the Olight. Actually, the Olight clip may very well be my favorite clip of all time...... On ANYTHING! That is saying a lot for me since I have a sick infatuation with pocket clips and am VERY particular. I kind of like the feature where when the light is turned off it slowly cuts away the light to preserve vision and not "stun" your eyes. The S1A does not have this feature though. I like the magnetic base of the Olight in one sense, but also have my concerns about it. I was told the magnet is removable on the S1A, but not sure about the S1R as it may be integral for charging purposes. That is if you choose to charge with the batter installed. Fit and finish is excellent on all, but out of the Zebralights and the Olight's the S1R has the grittiest feeling threads. The Copper S1A being the best and feels like butter from day one. Not sure if this is gunk stuck in the thread or less precise machining. Time will tell when I clean and re-oil. Obviously I love the output on the Olight, but first impressions on runtime for the S1R are not good at all. Aesthetically they both have there merits and could not choose which is better. They are both different in a good way. I truly am a sucker for blue accents though. Sorry for the rambling. I had not put to much thought into comparing them yet and am just thinking about it now. I may do a comparison thread soon. Any specific questions?

Thanks Capt.  I should have been specific as to what ZL.  I think you pretty well hit every point I was wondering.  The Olight is pretty impressive in output.  The UI is simple and I also love how it slowly ramps.  The size is terrific as is the clip.  I'm pretty stoked on this light and carried since the day I got mine.  The blue accents are pretty sweet.

I decided on this vs the SC5 solely cause this one can take Lithium cells.  The specs are pretty close to the newer ZL otherwise.  The UI isn't as rough as I initially thought.  I've programmed it to my liking and after playing with it for a little bit I'm pretty comfortable using it.

After losing a couple AAAx1 lights, I decided to go back to a CR123X1 format light.  Olight had these for sale at Christmas this year and I couldn't resist.



And here it is next to a CR123X1 Luma power Dmini VX

Love my Zebralights and the SC52 was my first introduction into "good" flashlights.

My Olight S1R is my first "good" light.  I do enjoy these nicer lights and the ZL in particular style wise may not be everyones cup of tea I quite like the look. 

I didn't find the UI to be as fiddly as some.  I quite like how this light operates actually.  While my S1R is simple and straight forward I don't mind a little more thought when using my ZL.

This maybe the coolest tiniest thing I ever got, jetbeam mini micro usb rechargable next to what I thought was the smallest thrunite T01

sorry if the pics stink, its kind of dark out and I had to shrink them and email them to myself, will post some better shots tomorrow, with my regular camera, and with a sak so you can get a feeling for the size of this thing, for $22 its well worth it, 130/8 high/low lumens, that gift tin, split ring, spare o ring, chain and battery included

*JETBEAM MINI UPDATE* damn thing is already showing signs of a bad battery or the electronics draining it, im not sure, but its only 3.5 months old and used it sparingly. battery charging in only 1/2 hour and to 4.0 ish volts, loses voltage pretty quick, pretty disapointed with this

I had a yellow/black Olight I3e with a clip that Zoid had sent me but unfortunately it decided to grow legs and walk off I really liked that light so I ordered a silver one and it arrived over the weekend and I am very happy with it The site said that the silver one put out 120 lumens vs. the 90 the other colors put out but I have no way to compare it but I am happy with it nonetheless

All these lights in this thread are awesome and I wished I came in here more to check them out
