I hate to admit it, but I haven't bought a new torch in a good six mos.  (Yes, I know... flashaholic heresy!)

But, Zebralight just released their new pure flood headlamp, the H502, with an XML that runs on 1xAA, and is even available with an HCRI Rebel emitter as well, which is the one I'm drooling over.  It might just be the next light I buy.

Don't know if Travis is getting any of them in, but here's the info on them.

Heinz, I know how you feel. I went somewhere between 6 and 9 months before buying the Fire-Foxes.

A good thing, in the end as I needed that long to save for it!

Hey Simon... I know the feeling!  Though in my case, it's been because I've been on a SAK kick.  Of course, I'd have to save for months too, to get anything like some of beauties you've got!

I've been refining my hiking pack over the last several weeks, so it will also serve as a BOB just by throwing in a few kits I've built in Maxped EDC organizers; the H502c will most likely replace my neutral AA spark in that pack.

Just another gadget to add to my list!

Nothing for ages :(

Still looking for a rival to the E01 in terms of power, simplicity and runtime without resorting to a multimode torch :)

I forgot to post here but I got this little flashlight a few days ago as part of the new thrunite site promotion sale. First filefly/moon mode aaa I know of. 0,04 lumens for 175h and 60 lumens for 65minutes all in one continues twist motion. Good beam shape and tint. Me happy. :D Now they got me wishing for a 3-60 lumen version as well. :ahhh

@ Nuphoria:
How did you get such well fitted glow rings? And is the picture taken under UV light or just a long exposure to get the rings to glow so well?

An attractive and useful addition to a great light.

@Energie:
Beautiful work there, any chance of some more pictures?

Hey Tofty, it's just glow powder in epoxy so I filled the ridges and used tape to get the edges cleanish. Then I let it set, sanded it down and pointed a very bright torch at it!

The pic was taken in low light with my iphone 4 - nothing fancy, just got lucky! :D

It is a total PITA!

I'm going to give it a light coat of satin varnish to stop it getting filthy I think.

Oh nice job there Nuphoria, so what do you think of the little brute?  Seems too small for the amount of light it can put out?

Yeah, I was impressed by the specs when they came out and already owned a ZL H501 so knew I could probably trust the UI and build quality.

Managed to land a good price used one, and have been impressed as expected! I played with it in the garden tonight and I love the floody beam on high. The warm option is certainly lovely too; I tend to opt for neutrals these days and I'm liking this one a lot. It's kind of creamy yellow, not green in my eyes at all.

Compared to my usual go to 18650 light (Solarforce L2P with a bright triple XP-G), it is of course tiny, and will likely replace it in a lot of situations :tu:
