Somewhat a flashlight, but we were at Lowe’s and as we were checking out they were staring me down with a ticket saying sale $1, so a ran over and grabbed two..

No, there not the Life+Gear with the light at one end and the whistle on the other like this one, there just a simple light stick. The little guy tried his out the other night, pitch black he lit it up and looked around, not bad especially only for a buck,

We got something similar one time, with a light at the other end in addition to the “lightsaber” one. Also the tip of the “lightsaber” had a whistle with a cap.

Gimmicky things, but the caps for the whistle bit made nice diffusers for my AAA light, which is much brighter.  :D

That would have been nice with a simple aaa, rather then watch batteries!

Manker E02 Nichia, £16 from ebay.

That's a AAA battery for scale.

And next to my other AAA mini flashlights: Thrunite Ti3 and Lumintop Tool.  While the E02 looks chunkier than the Ti3, actually when I hold the E02 I'm amazed at how small it feels!

I'm still trying to figure out the different modes on the E02, but it does start low, middle, to high with quick clicks (yes, it's a head clicky).  Then there are longer presses that take you to other modes (including strobe and SOS), and the ability to set the level of the moonlight mode, but I haven't tried that.  It also has a very strong magnetic base.  :salute:

I like the look of that one BePrepared  :tu:  and for that price it would be rude not to buy one just to try it out*

Manker E02 also came with spare rubber o-ring, metal keyring loop, and pocket clip.

No excuses now Sparky!  They also come in other colours.
Took 2 weeks to come from China.

Are... are you doing that on purpose?
My Manker E03H seems to have gotten lost in the post and you post this?!  :twak:

Lol, sorry, I’m joking (about the teasing). :P
The shop will make good on a replacement as soon as the three week mark rolls around. It’s just that the wait is getting to me.  :ahhh

I wonder if I should get one of those E02’s for my sister?  :like:
Seems like a very nice light, I got the E03 because AA batteries give longer runtime and I already have a AAA light that I like (a Ti3 coincidentally) but maybe I’ll get an E02 so that she stops taking my Ti3.
Nice pics by the way.

Titanium?...Hmmm  I rather purchase 1 Red and 1 black E02 instead of spending the same amount of $ for 1 Stonewashed Titanium. Well, that's just how I see it

An Astrolux A01 Nichia arrived today from China --- £5.87 (and free shipping).  ( See here for earlier thread: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,76229.msg1661246.html#msg1661246 )

Comes with spare O-ring and key chain ring.  Looks and feels nice.  Head is thicker than the Thrunite TI3, but operates in the same twisty way : low --> medium --> high, and 2 repeats of that gets you to strobe mode.

The body is not completely circular in cross-section --- it has two flat sides, and with the larger head this makes handling easier.  Does not come with a clip.
:like: it.

I got this a few months ago, I think for extra $10-$15 it's a much better deal then the manker(although I still want a manker )

1200 lumens, 1000 otf,  and programmable modes, headstrap, clip, lanyard spare magnet for tailcap, 8 brighness modes I think
