Not a bad light for about $15US.

That's a pretty good deal right there.

I love the AA lights that can use 14500. They're a great combination of power and battery availability.

Me too!

I carry a ZL SC52w every day AND a Jetbeam Jet1-MK and both can use a 14500 and it can make a huge difference on high levels but most of my uses seem to be lower levels where standard voltage batteries really rule.
Very versatile for sure!

I also carry a ZL SC52.  I keep a 14500 in that light.   The Tool is a light I had my eye on but just never pulled to trigger on.  There was a 20% off coupon which was lowered the 17 and change asking price.  While I like AAA lights I have such a surplus of Eneloop AA cells this made more sense.

I am determined to not buy any more lights that have a clip that is not screwed on in some way.
Every other light has let me down when the clip detaches on its own somehow so I am really trying to stick to this.

I can see that being a problem.  I like the being able to reverse the clip for cap use, tho on a AA light not so much.  On my AAA lights more so.

My ZL and T10 are both holding very strong.  No play whatsoever with either clips.  I can't say my Olight S1R wont let go.  I've not pushed it hard.  The Tool is strong but not being screwed in  :dunno: tho chances are it would let go too.

My latest flashlight, the Nitecore TUP. I'm very pleased with this little guy! :tu:  Beside size and thick screwed in pocket clip, I really like the 1 lux setting, low enough to find a key hole, but if I do need a bright light, I also have and extra 1000 lumens to spare.

That looks really cool. I love lights that have the option of a 1 lumen or less low mode!

What information does the display give you?

Also is that grip something that came on it or did you add something like talon grip tape to it?

Sadly though it claims 1 l as low mine seems much brighter than that?
I wish there were a lower low.

The display is amazing to me
It reports level and run time as well as lock modes and is truly unique so far

Thanks Dan! :salute:  Yes, the grip is something I did with small strips of Talon grip tape because otherwise it's a bit slippery when you grab it with sweaty hands. The display screen just gives you info when it comes to brightness level, mode, lumens, battery voltage, run time and lockout status. Most people avoid flashlight like this one because they think all these "new tech" gadgets are too complicated and difficult to understand, but it's not, very simple to follow instruction.

Just new heads.
Tired one of Peak's Mules and liked it so much that I decided to get a three more. Luckily they were able to make me one in copper.

My first.

Got it,just wasn't sure which you meant.

I have had mixed luck with Peak myself.
The variable brightness versions use an unusual method to change level and mine have been pretty useless on the Eiger versions which are the smallest they offer.
The Logans which are for bigger cells and are somewhat bigger lights have much more reliable adjustments with the ones that I have at least.

Very cool lights but quirky for sure.

What do those even use for batteries? Anything that can be had as a rechargeable?

They use 10180 & 10280 which as far as I know are only available as Lithium Rechargeable?
The longer ones of course take 10440 which is same size as aaa and they sell them in aa,123 and bigger sizes still too I think.

The Logan 17500 that I have a few of can use aaa,aa or 123 and if course a 17500 to using spacers and Peak sells a nice spacer set too!

Here is a pic of the Eiger lineup. Don't think the little guys are available much anymore. As ezdog mentioned, they use 10180 (smallest), 10280 and AAA variants. The AAA lights are available with variable output or as single mode lights with your choice of output. The newest versions with variable output are much more reliable than older versions.
Fully potted heads and very high quality makes them very rugged little lights. Also available in Stainless,  Brass,  Copper  and Aluminum.  Plus designed, manufactured and assembled in the US. Probably try some of their larger ones in the future.
Sorry for being so wordy.

I wouldn't mind having one setup for a good strong output and one of those push buttons that I see on their website.
