These are addicting. Had to try an Eiger in aluminium.

Man you have got it bad! :drink:

You need to try one of the bigger ones now!

That will fix things.

My latest is a Fenix TK-47. Love it and the little lantern on the end. Well except for that time I was out at night and seen a mountain lion in the brush 10 feet away. I could of been happier not seeing those huge eyes glowing and blinking.  :ahhh

Glad the dog was with me, his hair was standing straight up hah. Out here in the country I learned when it comes around and gets close. Can hear people's dogs start barking a mile away then a different set will go crazy and so on as it moves around. Way different than when they are barking at deer, they go bonkers.

Heya, thank you. It's been a while, not much different other than one new knife I think hah.

Been remodeling my Mom's house slowly and regular work fixing junk. Might have to post some pics of the 69 Mach 1 I'm helping restore if he ever decides on a engine and front suspension. It had been sitting for a decade, so a long ways to go.

It's good to be back in such a friendly place. Maybe post some pics of things I've made out osage orange/bodark/horse apple I dried out but not sure if pipes are allowed on here hah. It's legal here but I'm open to making some scales if anyone is interested. I usually just finish them in linseed oil and some beeswax.

I need to cut some more to start the long process of drying but have enough for a decent amount already.

Got time for some hobbies now  :D Just trying to get caught up and maybe get some quality steel blanks to make some examples or just keep making pipes

OK. Only 2 more (plus a head).
Just got 'em. My new Peak Eiger AAA Mules in raw Aluminum with matching heads. I also managed to find some Nichia 219bs for Peak to install for me.
One is single mode level 4 output and the other is QTC full output.
Also had them build another SS head level 4 output for my SS single mode (in the pic)
Pictured next to the SS Mule which is on the left.
All I can say is WOW.

Well here is my new Nitecore TIP2 and this is how it looked a few hours ago when I got it AND how it looks again now as I prepare to return it already.

Really sweet upgrade to the TIP ALMOST?

There is no Lockout at all on the new version and I am sure that it will turn on in pocket and try to burn my Junk down just like every other Keychain light that I have ever tried that has a switch does!

What on Earth are they thinking when they design this junk?

Tip and Tini work better on a neck lanyard...both have been in my sweatshirt pocket and got activated by keys, Mostly use twistys on key ring, never had an issue with that type.

Maybe but when I called them to find out for certain that I was correct about this the person I spoke to could not really even grasp the problem in any way and did not accept it at all?

I can not imagine myself using a Neck Lanyard ever but I am left using Twisty lights in pocket mostly too.

I have had them turn on though and become a Nut Roaster too though exactly like every other light I have tried on a Keychain so evidently I am just not supposed to carry a light with my keys at all?

I only use the neck lanyard when I’m home, keeps your hands free

This year I only bought two lights but I'm trying to fix it :-) (a third light is on the way)

I bought a beautiful Zebralight H604c, I was very undecided between H604w (XHP35 led) H604c and H604d (XHP50.2 Hi Cri led)
I chose the Hi Cri warm tint (4000 K)  and the result has exceeded expectations, I have the old H602w and H603w models but this H604c is superior to all as tint and power

Even the Convoy M2 (XM-L2 LED) was a good buy, it is cheap and I received a nice warm color on this (4000 K)
I have many Convoy C8s with different LEDs and colors but I wanted something more compact and that gave me a slightly wider beam (losing a bit of launch) the M2 was the right choice.
A version of the M2 with XP-L HI LED is also available, maybe in the future I also try that.

That's awesome. I love a high CRI, especially on headlamps and lanterns!

Thanks Dan
If the CRI is high (at least 90/93) the difference is very visible !
If it is 80+ or 85 almost no difference is visible and brightness is lost without anything in return.
In the past with a Zebralight H600Fc MKIII (XM-L2 EasyWhite) the CRI was only 80-85 and I saw very little difference having then "only" 800 lumens.

In this case (H604c) the CRI is high and thanks to the type of led the power remains very high.
I'm really impressed with this headlamp

Yes, even on lanterns it can be a good thing but I still have none of them.
I only have one Fenix CL25R it has a nice neutral tint but it is not Hi Cri.
I would still like to buy the new model CL26R or CL23, the Fenix lanterns are good

$20 at Home Depot!
2aa,300l for 5 hours & 100l for 16 hours claimed.
Gnarly Clip that rotates and Magnets on 2 sides.
Milwaukee True Color or whatever they call it warm emitters.

Seems like a lot of light for the price to me!

:like:  And they are TINY! I got one of the first they made, when they were giving them away with any order, I guess just to see how they would hold up. It stays on my keys as a backup. I like that it can recharge using a Micro USB; which pretty much all cellphones have used for many years.

I received a Convoy S2 + driver * 8 with color 7A (3000/3200 K) and a Zebralight SC600w MKIV.
Unfortunately the tint color of Zebra disappointed me and I returned the light.

I am consoled with the Convoy, it is the second example with tint 7A and I must say that this time I received a warmer tint than the previous one, it is spectacular on the red and brown colors.

Nice little light. I think it might make it into my rotation unless I can find a dedicated use for it.
