Despite my love/hate relationship with 4Sevens, I saw they had the Mini AA with the warm HCRI emitter in stock still, so I just ordered one.

One of the silicone brackets for my ZL headlamps broke yesterday so I ordered a few extras and an extra band.

Xeno S3A

My first neutral white LED flashlight.

Now you're gonna get it!  The neutral bug is hard to stop once it gets you...  Next you'll want to try a warm tint, then an HCRI, then a neutral HCRI, and so on... Soon enough you'll never want to buy a cool tint light again!  (Ask me how I know! )

Forced patina or did it do that on its own?

Just let it do it's thing with every day use. Also got a Copper Zippo around the same time, so they are both looking pretty cool now :tu:

Oh I know about what a gem it is to have a neutral white flashlight.  But it's not going to stop me from buying cool white flashlights just because finding a neutral white flashlight with the size/battery type, beam pattern and user interface I want is harder than finding a unicorn.

I am very impressed by the xeno S3A though.  The only 2 things that bugs me is the weird Medium - Low - High interface and the low not being low enough.

I have exactly the same qualms with Xenos.  I also dislike their "linear" driver, which means no regulation...  as the voltage of the cell decreases, so does the brightness.  Some people like that, I don't.

Head on the T0 is titanium.  A cut above the Fenix E01 for about the same money.

As the resident flashlight moron, I am very happy to report that I just ordered a Leatherman Monarch 300.  It doesn't come close to any of these, but it's familiar to me and discontinued, so I'm happy to have found one.
