I think the mods here do a very good job at keeping the peace :)
I'm not sure how I would be as a mod. With great power comes great responsibility.
Maybe we should do  "mod for a day" kind of thing?
It could be ummm catastrophic :P

I ran a BBS in the early days starting with a 300 baud modem, but people found a way to make it do 450baud quite easily.  Wow 50% increase in speed.  I made it all the way to 2400 baud and then some fancy propriety stuff, but I shut it down for maintenance one day, and just never got around to turning it back on.  Totally unintentional, but I must have liked the peace.

I can understand how it would be stressful to mod a forum.  I have never done it but I have managed quite a few employees in my time and that will drive a person mad.  At least on this forum there are relatively few cases of childishness and they get squashed easily and cleanly.  As it's been said, the members here are polite and level headed so the moderation can be the same.  I think the discussions here are a ton of fun and the veteran members who aren't even mods have been persuasive enough in the past to stop a conflict before a mod has to step in. 

I hope your other forum is treating you better John, and it's good to see you here as well!
