Flying Colors for DTH!!!
on: January 29, 2008, 10:26:02 AM
I couldn't help it, I'm so happy for the man, Ducktapehero had a real scare with a medical issue and he's gonna be alright!
I'm truly happy for him. We read about so many sad, crazy things in this world and this was such positive/great news!
(sorry I didn't see his post yesterday)

I had to make a new thread and say again, Whooo Hoooo! You were so positive and even joking, I can only imagine what you
must have been going though waiting for the results.

"Three Cheers for DuckTapeHero!"

Thanks guys!!! Of course I had the kidney cancer last year and had that removed. I'm still recovering from that surgery, I'm about 85-90% recovered but I'm not back to 100%. I have a son who turns 3 in March and the thought of him growing up w/o even knowing me scares the hell out of me. If I had died now he would only know me from pictures, videos and maybe a vague memory. Of course this is no guarantee that I won't die anytime soon but at least it puts back at at even odds.

The thing that scared me is that kidney cancer is very curable if it's caught before it spreads, however once it spreads it's a lot harder to deal with because it is resistant to chemotherapy. You have to go in and actually cut it out. So anyway, thanks a bunch guys.

Here's some pics. They didn't have to split me wide open like most kidney surgeries. They cut about a 3" incision near my belly button and a couple of other small ones and they did it laproscopically.

When I had my cancer my eldest was just born and I went through the same thoughts and emotions you did  :(  I would not wish that on anyone . So glad your on the mend . One thing that took a long time to get over was every time I had an ache or pain I thought the cancer was back  :(    Things do get better and it does help to talk .
On a lighter note I wont post the pics of my surgery  :o  Or I might get banned . Its not the size of the scar its more where it is  :o

Bro, you know you can always post pictures of great looking g-string girls. We can pray for you even if you don't let us see your belly. We pray for you even more if you post nice and beautiful GIRLS GONE WILD pictures.

I agree- it's the best dang news we could hope for.  There was another member here who recently had a similar story, not by himself, but with a friend.  Having lost a few people close to me to cancer, I can certainly sympathize with all of you and what you guys went through.  I am also glad that it turned out of for all of you.  Better to have scars than a box.

Good news for sure and I'll raise a glass in celebration!
