Awesome!

Those are brass liners right? Hard to see on my tablet.

I thought we had talked about backside phillips for the BO Tinker?

Can't wait to get them home. Thanks.

When Im not feverishly working on Harley's SAKs today, I will be putting something unique together.

A bladeless SAK with the CT driver! :D  Since it has no blades, it has no corskscrew so I couldnt use a backscale with the cutout.  So.. this one has 2 'front' scales.  Should work fine I hope!

Oh and the funny thing is, normally Id be like man now Im stuck with 2 backscales with no fronts.. BUT, I also have an order where a fellow wanted a mod with both a backside corkscrew and phillips, so Im building him one with 2 backscales.  Should be interesting as I have never built a dual cutout 91 but I think it will work fine.

Seriously? That's what I have been thinking about ordering from you. But I thought you said earlier that having no cutout on the back would not be an option.
Coolness :D

Oh wait, obviously this is not possible with the alox scales you had made.

Ya the Ti blanks I can do it since I just round the other edge and it becomes the backscale.  The alox would have to be specially made that way.

Backside corkscrew and phillips is a cool idea...always fun to see something new. Are there certain tool layers where you can swap the cutout tools right in (besides the main blade's backspring)?  Are all of the backtools interchangeable across layers?

Yeah I have been wondering about these things for a while now.

Is there a way to have a blade even if it has to be the small ones but no cs or phillips on the backside?

Also can we put the mag glass across from the two openers? Does this require special springs? So say tatoosteve coumd do it for me if you was busy.

All the backside tool pivot shapes are the same except the hook.  But if you tweak the scissors backspring other tools can be made to fit.  The main difference is the thickness of the parts so to swap backtools you either need to add a washer, or mill some off the liners to get a tool to fit, but one way or another they can all be moved to any spot.

Yeah I have been wondering about these things for a while now.

I have put the mag glass across from the openers on an alox 93mm mod before just like the phillips.  That trick does not work on the 91mm size though.

To have a blade layer with no CS you would still need to fill the backside with a tool for the spring to work, but you could stick an awl or something in there.  That is exactly what I did in the last brass and Ti mod I did that has 2 blade layers.  One has a corkscrew and one has an awl.

Harleys mods are done! :D  But im still working on the cybertool mod and its kickin my ass.  Tapping that thick Ti is SO ANNOYING.

Okay, it's awesome.  :salute:  The cherry would have been an old no backside tool scissor spring though IMO.

That did cross my mind, but all the ones I have are in pretty horrible condition so they wouldnt have fit in with the fit and finish, but I do agree!
