Syph - Two questions about 93mm configurations: Could the hawkbill from a Harvester be put opposite the main blade or would something like a Pruner need to be used (where the hawkbill is already in that spot); are the same backsprings used for the 1.5 layer Phillips/2 opener layer as for seperate Phillips/bottle opener and hawkbill/can opener layers...trying to understand if the difference in width is just the liner.  Thanks man.

The pruner blade is the same shape in either spot, just slightly bent differently.  I have used them interchangeably with no issues.

The triple tool layer with the phillips uses 2 standard opener layer springs.  The can opener position can be occupied by the can opener, eblade or pruner blade.   :tu:

One more question on this...if the inline Phillips is opposite the bottle opener is 1 standard opener layer spring used or something thicker?  Thanks.

I use a blade layer spring for that.

There are many nice examples of the two opener tools opposite of the phillips screwdriver in one layer.

Is it also possible to install both the can opener and the cap lifter opposite of the mag glass (on either 91 or 93mm) or is the cap lifter colliding with the mag glass frame?

Yes its possible but i think i usually had to shorten the mag glass to get it to fit.

Wait are we saying mag glass will go opposite the double opening layer on a 91mm and fit?

The 93mm size, not possible at all on the 91.

Cool cool. I'd rather give up the 3D-Phillips than the mag glass, in this hypothetical configuration.

Dang ok so the struggle continues.

Did you ever figure out a way to carry bits on a 93mm for the CT driver Robert?

My first 84mm Ti mod! :D  And I did the model everyone asks about, bantam + scissors.

I started out I was going to just do a bantam + scissors, but then figured I might as well add the backside phillips as well.  :D

Size compared to a standard 91mm

Those screws look real nice on the custom 84mm scales. Any problem sinking them, like on the 84mm Alox?

These scales are thicker than the 84 alox, so not a problem at all.

Parts are in! :D  The scale wrench is rev. 3.

I didnt bother to show the first 2 versions as they had some funny design flaws that didnt occur to me until I tried to use them.  I'll explain in a later post, but this version works great.  One side is to tighten, other to loosen.  Normally a OPT wrench only needs one, but you can flip a normal OPT to use either side, cant do that with a scale mounted to a SAK.  :D  So yes ver 1 could only loosen bolts night tighten....

Those mag glass holders look great!  Are they friction fit or epoxied?

The wrenches and scales look super cool too.  The incorporated bit driver on the side is an interesting idea.

I think I will have to epoxy the lenses in, unless I can work out a rubber gasket or something similar.

A gasket could work.  There are probably Viton o-rings or something already in that size.  For a different design, it would take some work, but maybe a small twist lock type of outer ring?  Although, that does add to the complexity of the piece.  Possibly a snap ring retainer?
