This is all so amazing Syph  :salute:.  Your generosity in taking us all along in this journey so unselfishly.  This hinged compartment is very intriguing.  Sad for Mon as he will again be sending in his TiRogue for yet another face lift  :D

Lol, maybe someday, but it's a thicker scale, so I'm not sure.

Or for sure.  Right now I can fit T&T and small firesteel.  The opening length is just a bit over 2 inches.

I wonder how titanium holds up when used as a spring? I mean, does it handle it as well as steel?

If not, could the spring part be redesigned in such a way that the whole movement would be distributed over a longer spring, so that material would bend less and be less stressed?

I was wondering the same, as I had stress breaks on some homemade Ti clips

As long as it's annealed and not flexed past its elastic deformation point (in this case its only a few degrees).  The distance of motion of the tab is 0.03" before release on a 0.7" arm.  I'm nowhere near plastic deformation range.

But saying that... thats why I want a good prototype to test and carry.  Ive had not of people offer to 'test' for me too so after that test phase is done I will then take orders for it.  V2 was assembled last night and worked 100% BUT, it was too pointy at the nail release part so V3 is going together today.
