Must have been almost like working on jewelry adding the tiny copper cross to the scale.  I've always liked that model.  Nice work!

Ive got a slightly easier way to do it now.  I cut that cross hole about 80% though, then just hammer a small piece of copper into the space, and sand the top.  Works well since copper is so soft, not as easy with brass.

This one time, I made a custom scale, from epoxy putty... a (very) small step on the way to water-cut, copper-inlaid scales  ;)

This took alot of hours today.  Both machining and hand finishing.  But its done and it works.  Every single function a normal champ has, not missing anything.
