Bladeless!

Was a swiss champ and lost mag layer and main blade layer.  I shaved down the tang of the corkscrew just a tad so it could fit on the back of the metal saw layer.

I want one in grey Ti with brass liners, no scale tools, with corkscrew and the other awl on the back. I´ll start saving my money as of today. Can you PM me a price estimate? Time lapse between order and delivery? This is not a joke I´m dead serious. Oh and no pocket clip.

PS Please accept my apologies for the rather rude way in which I´m asking this, I should have sent you a PM.

I'm surprised Syph hasn't done an in-line chisel tool, like the Spirit's.

I think part of the trouble is that titanium is not a very good material for edged tools. In the talk of the brass inserts for the marling spikes he mentions that he prefers using titanium to avoid having to do the heat treating that would be necessary for steel tools.

I have been eyeing these SAKs for quite a while now...  I was planning to get one in 2018, but when I saw that marlinspike I felt I had to jump on it.  :ahhh

The money´s not in my bank account yet, but my budget manager approved the deal (I love that woman!  :like:)

Anita Doth and Ray Stijngaard express my feelings in some of the very best Dutch dance music of the nineties.

I never thought Id be designing my own fork but here we are.  :D

Using my brass bushing idea I can make just about anything out of Ti now and have it usable.  I hade to make the tines of the fork on the short side to leave clearance for that 4th internal pin.

Could always go with two or three longer tines?  Maybe?

Ya it might turn into a trident.  The beauty of being able to prototype my own parts is I can just cut one and try it then tweak.

Having a straight boring handle seems like a waste of potential too and I can't think of what to out there except hex cutouts which are only marginally useful.

A straight boring handle is easier to clean. :tu:

(Maybe some decorative swirls and stuff?
Maybe you could add lines or something to wick oily fluids towards the tip quicker :gimme:)

What about a fork design like the Mikov´s? Some people put one in a SAK before.

Nice! That one wouldn´t be for EDC, would it? I mean, the scales are very nice but dirt and dust will have free entrance.

Forkyou ver 1 didnt make it to the material stage.  I changed the design to 3 tine and made it more fork like.  This one I will actually cut and test.  Its not something thats been asked for alot, I wanted one for myself on a camping sak AND I have 100 campers worth of new parts Id love to use up.  I think I'll do standard camper plus fork layer and call it a something funny.  :D

The idea with this is it will rest on the 4th pin and the top tine sticks up just enough to be able to be used as a nail nick.
