Compact tiner skeletonized with brass.   :D
Nice to put on a shelf, but for everyday use, you'd spend more time cleaning lint out of it, than actually using it.

I imagine that its no more of a lint magnet than a regular SAK, and in addition, the skeleton scales make it very easy to clean, in comparison?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

And if you'd have a sheath for it, lint wouldn't be an issue to begin with, I guess?

Pabs has a valid point.
It might be even easier to clean it like that.
Even with a compressor...

A little different scales on this one.   Simple lines at 45 degrees.  I just used an engraving bit and it turned out just fine.

Nice work, Syph!  I may have missed it, but do you make a drawer for the 93mm scales also?  If so, I have a 93mm custom you made for me a while back that I might want to mod further.

Ive mostly been doing the same models I normally do. Heres a slightly different than normal one though.  Full back scale yeoman.

Ive also finally started on my journey to make fixtures to repeatably modify 91mm scissors layer to fit 84mm.  Bantams and cadets with scissors should be realized in September.  I need a fixture to modify the scissors (which Im doing right now), one for the backspring and one for the hook.  The hook will need to be part of the layer since the modern spring has it.   Its not cost effective to make a batch of springs when I have so many of the standard ones I can make work.   :tu:

Yes for sure.  The only difference is its on the front scale due to the fold over awl on the blade layer.

Have you ever made a 93 mm SAK with a large blade, a pruning blade and a woodsaw? If so, do you have pictures? Would be a nice present for my dad who's always busy in his garden.

Second question have you modified the large blade into a combo plain-serrated edge? Any cons to that?

Thanks

That would be the Wilderness model. Vx only made a few hundred, so they´re rare and probably expensive. I would like to have one. Using a Harvester as modding fodder it would not be too difficult to make one, putting the pruner blade in the place of the awl.
