Keep in mind that, in order for the pruner blade to replace the awl, it'll need to be twisted a little bit to the scale side, otherwise, it'll collide with the main blade.
Other than that, it's a good solution! Or just use the Harvester as is, and you get a poking tool and a bottle opener as bonus (it's always beer o'clock somewhere in the world)

The Harvester is OK. But if you want serrations, you might try to find a SwissBianco Carver SW. It´s a discontinued model but someone might be willing to sell (not me!). It should be about twice the price of a Harvester. A Syph mod will give you extra features like Ti scales and torxed construction.

Yeah, forgot to mention... If you go with a Syph mod, you're in really good hands!

You know I was just thinking how inadequate and puny my leatherman squirt Is on my keychain. Now I have found a respectable replacement.

Isn't it angled in the same direction as the small blade and combotool, since they make a single layer with the pruner blade?  It's short enough that it doesn't have to have the direction reversed to be on the opener spring.

Unfortunately no.
Both the sheepsfoot blade (from electrician) and the pruner blade (from the harvester) face the same direction. They are mounted in the opener layer across from the bottle opener, towards the inside of the SAK.
Therefore, when you switch them with the awl, they'll still be facing the inside of the SAK.
I know this by experience, as I've done the same using an Harvester as donor.
I've never held a Vic Pruner before though...

Thanks again for the comments. Ron Who and FlnixNOver.

I think I might give him the harvester and see how he likes it before I go and spend a fortune on a custom. I'd hate for it to end up in a drawer!

Now for myself I'm still on the fence on which tools I'd want.

What I'm sure of:
Wood saw, metal saw, reamer, large blade, pruning blade.

Where I'm still on the fence
Philips/can opener/cap lifter layer   OR    Cybertool?
Pliers?

Syph007, I've been trying to get in touch with you regarding some mods I would like to have done to a Deluxe Tinker. I've tried emailing you at the email you list on SAKmodder.com and emailing your through your profile here, but haven't had any luck. Is there a preferred way to get in touch with you to discuss possible mods?

Well you'll probably end up seeing two different inquiries regarding the Deluxe Tinker I have, please ignore the first, less elaborate request as I subsequently decided I wanted to see if more extensive mods could be done. Thanks.

The small slot on the front of this one is for a tritium vial.  Not installed for these pics.

Oh my...

Put a combo tool in it instead of the opener layer and that would be a dream SAK...

I also dream of the perfect SAK. The thing is, when you have the option of choosing exactly what goes into it, what do you choose? I am certain I'll regret whatever I order. "Oh, I wish I had asked for the file as well." etc.
Still, I have narrowed it down to a Deluxe Tinker, with inline awl, drawer, wrench scale. Probably saw and file too.  CyberTool?
It's gonna be a tough decision.

Nice - So fire steel and pen in the drawer and no tp ?
Those small crosses look really intricate - How did you make those  ???

My concern too - The other one being - What if I lose it?  !!      :o
