Nice work as always Robert. I got to say, I actually like the textured one. I wonder how awkward/"unergonomic" would it be to have flutes like the one on a Tighe Coon?

Oh man I love Brian's work.  He's got some awesome stuff.  Only lives a couple hours from me too and Im super jelaous of his stuff. I talked to him on the phone once when I bought damasteel from him as he is the Canadian dealer.

I would love to experiment more bit it's about 100 USD per scale for material so I'm afraid to mess up to much.  Im going to build the textured one into a pioneer x and see how it looks.

I finally made it all the way through this thread and it has been an awesome read. It has been great getting to see how much these mods have evolved over the years. Seeing someone take a newly discovered hobby and shape it into a career is incredibly inspirational. :hatsoff:

I would love to invest in one of your customs someday, but as I'm currently on a college student's budget it will probably be a long way down the road. That's alright though, as it'll give me plenty of time to decide what I want (and give me a chance to change my mind several times). Plus it looks like you'll have plenty of orders to keep you busy till then. In the meantime I'm planning to try some modding myself. One of the benefits of still being in school is access to the campus shop room.

Will be following this thread closely going forward. Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Hey Syph. I suspect it’s somewhere in this thread but could you compare the weight of a 91mm mod to a comparable 93mm...for example a Climber with TI scales to a stock Pioneer X
