Here's the final build for the fat drawer SAK.  It's a purpose built medical aid type of thing.  I scaled down a 91mm spatula to fit the 84 and it's made from Ti.

One of the most unique builds yet I think .  Pretty awesome for the new owner.

Do you work with the 111 mm models? I would like the big blade and linerlock, but in a more traditional looking package. I mean more oval shaped scales.
A single layer knive. Maybe with tweezers and a thumbstud.
I have a Sentinel, but it should look more like a pioneer solo.
Rockin' a Huntsman!

Interesting idea I was never super fond of the 111mm shade and a more traditional shape I would like better.  When I get some more free R&D time I can give that a try

Cool, the 111 mm sits better in the hand due to its size. But that pioneer solo looks so great IMO.

One problem with the 111 mm fram (not necessarily for Syph with all his tools and ingenuity) is that the shape of the back springs follow the shape of the knife. There would have to be a lot of material taken off if you wanted to change the shape where the key ring sits. I have been considering doing a more traditional Hunter myself and realised that I will have to work around these points.

My idea was to hide the modern style by giving the knife a brass bolster with guard while simultaneously squaring it up a bit a slight bit at the top (where they have a tendency to bend if dropped) and removing the wave in the handle for a more traditional look.

I accepted a SAK mod job from an architect firm to do a bulk job SAK mod to Include their logo on the front.  40 saks, 30 will be brass and 10 Ti.  I was assuming I could do the job in 2 weeks or less so we will se how that goes.

My wife asked if she could help as my wrist is still not 100% but usable.  She took all the Saks apart at the kitchen table and separated all parts in bins for me.  👍 I think it took her 2 or 3 hours which isn't bad at all!  I'm making sample scales in both materials next to be approved then I'll be doing bulk assembly.

^^^^^ Send Syph a Compact and you've got it !!!

This is a great idea from that firm - Are the SAKs destined for their company employees are as a promotional item?   ???

Either way it will be one of the coolest promotional or employee gifts ever

PS. That is so nice of the Mrs. ......... Well done Mrs. Syph

I've been processing each part type in groups.  So far it takes about 1 hour per 30 parts to drill them out and polish the inner part of hole.

I'm tackling the 30 compacts first then the 10 climbers.
