BIG Giveaway
on: January 20, 2008, 12:57:18 AM
OK boys and girls, the last two contests are done and done! The winners have all received their packages and I believe are happy.

Now it's time for the BIG Giveaway.

The main prizes are a LM Charge XTi, LM Charge Ti and a Vic Spirit. Each package will also include a new SAK, some waterproof boxes (OtterBox 1000 & Pelican 1010), a flashlight of some sort and enough EDC stuff to gag you.

There will be choices for the winners as I have quite a collection of stuff, all new, to give out.

The first winner will have the first choice of multitool and SAK and a few other things. The second will have the next choice and so on.

Will it get complicated? You betcha. Will I screw something up? You can count on it! But in the end, every winner will be satisfied.

It will be once again a "roll of the dice" to determine the winners.

A third party will roll three six-sided dice, all at one time, and the numbers will be read left to right. NO second roll. Whatever happens during the first roll, stands!

RULES: I hate them also, but we gotta have em.

1. Must be a member to enter and 18 years or older.
2. Only one entry per member.
3. Only numbers between 111 and 666 can be used. (no 0,7,8,& 9 allowed-SIX sided dice)
4. Ties (over or under) will go to the earlier post.
5. Any winner agrees to be reimbursed by me if they incur any taxes or customs fees over 10 USD. (EDIT 8:55 PM 1/19/08)
6. You cannot pick a number that has already been picked, check the earlier posts (EDIT 9:04 PM 1/19/08)

I am hungry now and am going to eat. That means I may have forgotten some rules so I reserve the right to add to them later.

Past winners can, of course, enter this one also.

I will pay ALL shipping costs, anywhere in the world.(EDIT 8:57 PM 1/19/08)

I will add details and pics of the goodies later, both will be of poor quality (the details and pics, not the stuff!)

The contest starts NOW and ends Sat midnight 1/26/08 EST US (New York, Wash. DC)

Here is a link to the last giveaway if anyone wants to see how things went.(EDIT 10:47 PM 1/19/08)

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,3028.0.html

Good luck everyone,

Calvin

When it comes to Calvinball, my prowess is legendary.

I'm very keen to hear a review from whoever gets the Otterbox and Pelican.

Damn Calvin another great competition! :)

I am going to have to join in this one with the numbers I did last time 221 as knowing Sod's law if I didn't enter, those would be the numbers rolled. (Just what would happen if you ever missed the lottery one week).

I do however hope that some other lucky members get to win this time.  I was very lucky to win the last competition and it would be nice to see many other members take advantage of Calvin's generous giveaways.

Good luck all!
I'm back!!

Well I'm back from dinner now and I'm sure I'll be falling asleep on the couch soon.

Looks like we got a pretty good start although, hawkchucker, you need to change your entry. 7 don't feed the bulldog.

A couple of things I forgot to mention. One is I will ship to anywhere in the world at my cost. Another, and this will be a rule, if you incur any taxes or customs fees involved with shipping that is over 10 USD I will fully reimburse you. Less than 10 bucks is not worth the effort. As these packages will value well over 200 USD each, I don't think most will object.

One last thing I need to mention is if things made in China or any other country you may not like bothers you, either deal with it or just don't enter. I don't know where some of the stuff is made but you can bet your "sweet potato pie" some of it comes from China.

Keep those entries coming, I think the last giveaway only had 26 or so entries and the LAST one won!

I will edit my original post to reflect these things,

Calvin

I think I saw where someone was 15. If they want to play, they need to get an adult to join and enter for them.

Where's your pick Viper?

Welcome to....The Gathering!

I won't get into discourse here on the Wave or Blast - Do a quicky search up there on the top-right for "Wave" or "Blast" and there'll be plenty of topics that already discuss the issue, and you can bring them back to the front page where we can discuss the issue further.

If there's one thing we're good at here, it is never come to an agreement!

They really are almost the same tool besides the Waves, bit driver and serrated blade... I would shoot for the Blast. It is lighter, has long reaching screwdrivers, and it is pretty cheap! But the Wave has a diamond coated file, one handed opening on knives, and a serrated blade. It depends what you do for work really: if you use knives a lot get the Wave if you use screwdrivers a lot get the Blast or CORE... Or bite the bullet and buy my favorite tool the SURGE! It is a straight up powerhouse!
