That looks cool. Does the saw blade lock into place?
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Just had a look. I think the additional screw will foul the bit carried in the bit driver. Am I right?

No, it just close perfectly with the bit touching the additional screw.
The additional screw with the cut-out is an addition to stabilize the blade and use more force with the skeletool closed, the blade works anyway, even without "guide".
Finally the blades lock inside the bit holder and the small lever need to be pushed in order to remove the blade.
The blade itself has to be grinded on the T, one side have been completely removed to keep the blade flat on the holder and the other side has to be reduced and left a little "pointy" to better lock.

Cool it is back on my to do list. Thanks for clearing that up.

I did it, now my Skeletool has a removable saw.
It locks in place very well, tested, works! :D

Hey sir, i really liked that mod and i'd like to do it for my tool, maybe i missed but i didn't see any instructions or anything done to the driver itself, my question is, is it only the T saw you modded or you also did anything to the driver?
thanks
- Ok sir, we've found this good multitool without scissors-

I was thinking a couple of months ago about doing this mod but decided that the lock holding it in place isn't strong enough as the blade cuts in the pulling direction. Almost all the force will be transmitted on the pulling stroke to that relatively tiny latch. I thought it prone to failure, and shelved the idea.

Can anyone please confirm that the blades cut fine, and are retained well, especially when the blade teeth are of the more aggressive variety??

They're not common but I have seen blades that cut on the push stroke.

The push cut blades are even harder to use...at least for me.

Back to neil's question, yes you are correct, I worry about damaging the bit holder with extended usage too. I tested the saw blade on skeletool, it works, but not nearly as well as other mt 's saw. The blade de-attached itself a few time during usage, but it did cut through the wooden stick, took a long time. Not too happy with it and I don't EDC saw blades for it.

Hey try it yourself, maybe you like it. Not modification to skeletool, just the saw blade.

Resurrecting a 3 year old post here, but it seemed like the most appropriate place.

This dude added some epoxy resin to the end of the saw and then shaped it to better fits in the bit holder. Seems like it would work...
