I don't know if the buyer is an MTO member, but the seller is.  He's a great guy who prices his knives fairly; I'm happy to see him get a nice windfall.

That's not the sort of SAK I'm interested in, thankfully.  This hobby is expensive enough already.   :D

I say massive - As it looks like ebay auto bid the previous bid +$25 for the winning bid !

I’d never paid much attention to the older models and it didn’t really register to me that it’s more common to see the older ones have 3 exposed pins.

I know the value is the price the market will pay - But I do think these sales are way overpriced

Looks like it was three bidders pushing up the price - And the winner put in a couple of massive bids

Yes, that was crazy.  The same seller had those two Farmers that appeared MIB and the price they fetched surprised me too. 

I guess we all have our own definitions of what's reasonable, and that's ok.
