Granfors Bruks; me want!
on: January 24, 2008, 02:06:54 PM
I've got a nice wetterlings, very good axe but for the best of the best I want a GB!
I'd like a small forest axe 19" and a scandinavian forest axe 25"

anybody have experience with these and do you know of a good place (good deal) to get one?
I've seen em on ebay and I may go that route, but it never hurts to ask ;)

My Gransfors Bruks Wildlife Hatchet is easily the very best hatchet i have ever handled.
Its well made, and sharp enough to shave with right out of the box.

I have a small forest axe.  It is easily the best axe I have used.  Just about light enough that I carry it on 3 night trecks.  The size gives you good options for one or two handed use.  If, however, you are just using it to split wood there are better options.  Remember this is made for "limbing" not splitting.  A fantastic all rounder though.  :)

Just noticed this is a bit of a zombie thread, sorry.
