Spirit mountain rescue packaging

Anyone seen Vic Spirit packaging like this ?









This was the box my birthday Spirit came in . Its standard UK official packaging and even has Burton McCall ltd ( UK Distributors )  printed on it . It also has Mountain Rescue England and Wales Supporter on it too . I knew Vic supported mountain rescue and this is nothing new but i like the wording on the top " ESSENTIAL KIT MOUNTAIN RESCUE " , good move by vic as a marketing ploy . I certainly don't hesitate to use their stuff in cliff rescue and search and rescue so its definitely not a false statement .
 Also its kind of nice that Victorinox actually recognises a market here in England and Wales and not just part of the huge U.S market .

Yep, seen quite a few of those style boxes. 
My local hardware store has a few of those in stock.
I don't know if that packaging is exclusive to the UK. 
My last 08' Soldier came in the same style box as well.
And If I remember right so did my last silver Pioneer.

I would have thought the reference to mountain Rescue was only on the UK boxes though ?

That's true.
And as i'm also in the UK that makes sense with that logo on the box.
Also some of these could have easily gone to other countries if they were exported from the UK instead?
Who knows?
