Is it me or did Gerber just slapped Grylls into the name and doubled the price on the same thing?  ??? It cost even more than the Bahco laplander (which was recently dropped in price)!

According to many marketing folks at SHOT this year Bear Grylls was one of the most valuable brands in the latter half of 2011.  None of the folks who told me that worked for Gerber, so you know there's somethign there.

Young, enthusiastic, always happy and joking, seems to know enough for the show, willing to go way beyond what most people would consider reasonable and be filmed doing it, looks OK despite the big nose as I was told, (though I was reassured that I look better!), comes across as a nice bloke...

Compared to the other "serious/boring" survivalists he is more fun to watch(Les is ok when he mixes with tribes), especially for children and younger people, so it is no surprise he is worth a lot of money.
