I heard there was an older versions of the Timekeeper which is self-winding version that requires no battery. Is it true?

No, not as a regular model.

With Swiss Army knives it is always possible that there is a special limited edition or item created by another manufacturer using a base Victorinox knife.

This question was posed to Victorionox though and they drew a blank, so if there is one out there it is likely a customized piece.

I would bet against it.  Never saw or heard of one, and a self-winding watch has a rather heavy weight which rotates to wind the mechanism; the resulting watch is heavier and thicker (and more expensive) than a battery-powered one.
Would be a nice find though...     :P

If there were, it would be a lot more valuable than other Timekeepers, Supertimers, or even that travel clock.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can fit a self-winding mechanism in the scale. If you could, it would probably cost a fortune.

Exactly, it would need to be something a little different than current timer scales.  Custom scale would be a must.

I googled, so far only Smartknives mentions it: http://www.smartknives.com/Swiss-Army-Knife-Tools/Victorinox-Watch.htm

I guess the information there was wrong then, no other information elsewhere.

Unless what they REALLY meant was a manual winding watch, vs "self winding" which implies an AUTOMATIC self winding watch.
